My wife and I decided to try Sprinkle City for our sons Minecraft birthday cake. I have never been so disappointed in a cake!! We were told they were going through a slow period so getting the cake done would be no problem. We were told base price was $65 and a little extra for the design, that the boss would call with how much extra it would be. We never received a call so we decided to call them. We were told $20 extra for the design after we called them. Upon receiving the cake we noticed that the "11th" for his eleventh birthday was crammed in as if they forgot to put it on originally so they just squeezed it in somewhere. We also noticed a nice little hair in the icing. The cake overall was very novice. The square is not even centered on the cake. The design was as plain as could be compared to the pictures they post on their website. It literally fell apart when you tried to cut it because it was so dry. Overall, needless to say, I want my money back and an apology for charging a customer $85 for a cake Walmart could have made!! Place is ridiculous. To let a cake walk out of your doors looking like that, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Then instead of admitting your mistakes you scrutinize your customers telling them to go to Walmart and pretty much admitting Walmart could have done the same quality work. I have no clue how fuzz gets into icing, actually IN it, but I would be delighted if you could someday show me how that works. Maybe we can put some in the next customers cake and tell them it could have come...
Read moreThis is the second time that I’ve had a problem with my order. The first time was roughly a year ago when they gave my order to someone else, but out of respect for me they were kind enough to let me get anything I wanted. The second problem was this weekend. I had ordered a cake for my birthday and yes it looked pretty from the outside, but the inside was absolutely terrible. I had asked for red velvet and what that was I am not sure, because I can guarantee you that was no wear near red velvet. Not only was I not able to cut the cake, but that was definitely not frosting, because all it did was fall right off. You could barely cut through the cake, and all it did was break apart. It was really embarrassing to have to serve that to my guest. The inside was not soft or spongy like a cake should be, it’s was a dough consistency and overall a terrible cake. Really disappointing. Definitely was expecting something a lot better for my money. Not only was I expecting something to be done for me, but they didn’t want to give me a refund because I left a bad review, are you kidding me? Don’t you want to do something to bring costumers back? She even told me that my cake was over mixed and not baked right, this is ridiculous, you’re telling me the mistake you made but won’t give me my money back! Very disappointing! Never getting my...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I randomly got a sweet tooth about a week ago and went searching online for nearby bakeries and when we found sprinkle city, we chose it because it was right up the road. We got a few cookies and cupcakes and immediately decided to get our daughter’s 1st birthday cake from them. Her birthday was on a Sunday and we called and asked to place the order on short notice on Friday and the lady we spoke with was extremely accommodating. We asked if we could do something with unicorn, and what we received absolutely exceeded our expectations. It was gorgeous! When my boyfriend placed the order on the phone, the woman he spoke with warned him that the unicorn decorations would make the price of the cake much more than the base price of a $15 smash cake, but when we picked it up, we paid less than $30, and that was with a couple of cookies added on (I highly recommend the lemon lavender shortbreads, they’re my new addiction)! This place is wonderful, the employees are kind, and the...
