Taziki’s has delicious food. However, they are seriously lacking in customer service. Highly disappointed and will not be returning to this location. I placed an order for grilled salmon & Jasmin rice. Alley- “we’re out of rice” Me- “ok I’ll have potatoes then” Alley- “we’re out of that” Me- “what are my available side options” Alley- points to sign with all of the sides including the sides that she just said we’re not available. Me- “ok, I’ll have the tomato cucumber salad then” She placed order and I paid.
When I returned to pick up my food literally less than 10 min later, she looks at me annoyed and says “Are you waiting for pick up orrrrrr?” (she JUST SAW ME.)
Me- “yes, I got the...” Alley-“what’s the name” Me- “Lona” Alley hands me the bag and I left. I get down the road and realize that it’s not my order at all. I turned back around. I brought the order back inside and sat it on the counter.
Me- “ this was someone else’s order. It’s shrimp, salad, & some other side.” Alley- “yeah, that’s what you ordered” Me- “no, I ordered grilled salmon with a side of tomato salad” Her manager (I think) looks at the receipt and says “she put your order in as shrimp, salad....” Me- “yes, but I ordered grilled salmon with a side of tomato salad because you were out of rice and out of potatoes.”
The manager helps her fix the order in the system then Alley tells me that I owe $3 something.
I asked her if she put the order in wrong, gave me the wrong order, I got down the road, & came back to give the wrong order back and pick up the right one.... why was I having to pay the difference. She and her manager told me because it’s a $3 price difference. Did I care about the $3? No, It was how they conducted themselves up until this point & how they failed to see the problem with any of it. I was frustrated at this point so I went to the car & sent my wife in to talk to them about it (she was with me when I initially placed my order). When she walked back inside the cook, the manager, & Alley were all standing around talking about how I had an attitude! When they saw her, they stopped talking and said “her salmon is on the grill”. of course after hearing them she politely just asked for our money back and left. since Taziki doesn’t understand the importance of customer service and how important it is to build customer loyalty.... My wife and I are now eating at Hickory Tavern. Hickory Tavern Has delicious salmon with a nice variety of sides and EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! It’s a shame that Taziki doesn’t understand that Waverly is such a small, close knit community. I will make sure that I let my friends know about the lack of customer...
Read moreWent to Whole Foods today and saw the sign for this place and figured my family would try it as we had been out on a rope course all day and were very hungry. I was really looking forward to the classic flavors of a Gyro. We ordered 3 grilled chicken gyro meals and a pita and taziki sauce appetizer. My hubby brought the food to the car and then we stopped at 1 more store. Upon re- entering the car I was suprised that I didnt smell any food. Greek food is flavorful and usually aromatic. I was concerned. Hubby said he saw someone elses food in the restaurant and it looked good. We got home and ate. So here's where it gets weird. I can't say it was bad, but I can't say that it was good either. What I can say is that it seemed fresh, but absolutely NO FLAVOR! The only thing that had flavor was the taziki sauce with my pitas. My husband said "doesn't the gyro have that same sauce in it, why don't we taste it"?! My cucumber and tomatoe salad was fresh and crunchy but again....no flavor. Even the feta crumbles on it didn't taste like much. My hubby's pasta salad he said was fine, but NO Flavor. The grilled chicken was cooked perfectly but again lacking flavor. I swear I was so confused. I thought I had lost my sense of taste but my hubby and son said the same, No flavor! To spend almost 40$ and not really taste much is frustrating. We don't eat out much because nothing ever seems to be worth it anymore and this sadly just confirmed that. Ps... the potato chips given with the meal is weird to me for greek food. It's fluff... we were offered a side with the meal. I'd rather be given rice automatically and then offered an extra side, or maybe more of the side you choose. Skip throwing in the chips. That's my advice. I'm not meaning to sound like I'm bashing the place. It was honestly just bizarre to lack so much flavor. Hope you have better luck...
Read moreThis is a new place and it shows - everything is spic-n-span and help is still learning. They claim to be a Mediterranean Cafe but very little on the menu is authentic vs. pop med fare. This is not to say it's bad though, the food quality is actually quite high & clean tasting.
They've got a lot of starches on their menu, not much in the way of veggies unless you like & can have cucumber. I'm allergic, so that ruled out a LOT, so I ended up with chips And new potatoes, plus the pita on my combo made for a very colorless plate. I would have loved to test the hummus but to be honest, it's a bit pricey... Unless that's all you're getting, I suppose.
I recommend Taziki's if your up for chain store Mediterranean that uses nice, high quality Ingredients yet not a lot of non-cucumber vegetable options (was told salads are pre-made and no way to get w/o cuc's.)
Relatively fast (I was only customer in dining room) and...
