I was just a little picky, asked for Strawberry Daiquiri - no whip cream, add sugar on rim. When we get our drinks there's no sugar on the rim, the waitress said "someone else had taken mine so the bartender had to remake it and she can take it back" but I said no it's okay. I ordered Carne Asada - no guacamole, add onions & extra jalapenos (I don't think this restaurant adds onions with their carne asada, it wasn't on the menu anyways). Nothing was seasoned and the steak had no seasoning. Also they put guacamole on the veggies so I had to say "hey there's guac on this đ„". I told the waitress that "the steak was not seasoned and said don't worry about taking it off the receipt like I'll add cumin & limes at home." (I only had 2 bites & made my husband try 1 bite of the steak). She tells the manager who comes up to me, I have the manager try the steak and he said "yeah there's no seasoning" & he'll replace it so I can take it home. So we wait. The waitress comes back and says they weren't remaking the food. Cool. So now it's 9pm, so about 3 hours later and I'm starving & thinking about that carne asada, if they'd replaced it with actual carne asada then I wouldn't be leaving this review, but they didn't and sent me home hungry.
So, I'll probably never be back.
Daiquiri was good, as was the birria tacos. If only they'd have replaced the carne or the waitress had gone back to ask the manager since the manager had said he was replacing then I of course would have gone back and this would have never been spoken about. PS. The birria pizza was not sliced all the way and looked nothing like the review of the person from a couple months ago, so beware of that, it was so...
Read moreThe food here is really good most of the time. I've been eating here almost my whole life. The variety is great. I've watched the menu grow significantly over the years. I recommend the LaHa Nachos if your in a snacking mood. For chicken? The polo fundito is great.
Avoid the LAHA sampler as it's not a good value. Little food portions for the price. The housemade Salsa is more of a puree than chunky, not a bad thing but those looking for chunky tomato salsa... this isn't the place. It pretty much stands par with the other Mexican restaurants in the area in terms of taste. Doesn't stand out but isn't bad.
As for dips, the queso fundito is worth mentioning. It's hot white cheese dip topped with Mexican sausage and its fantastic at a price of about 9.99. A great appetizer for brunch with friends.
They have a decent outside seating, and a generic bar that has enough atmosphere and space to make it feel on par with others in the area. The inside seating reminds me of a cafeteria setting where it's one big open space in the center with seating all around.
The only real complaint I have with this establishment is the service. If I had to choose one word it would be slow. That's the only real deficit here. It's definitely better than most. You will enjoy the food if you like Spanish cuisine for sure. The three stars from me is because the service is sub par.
I uploaded pictures of what the to go orders look like sense alot of people are doing this because of Covid. They do offer chips and dip with all to go orders but smaller portions because the to go orders are in smaller containers so keep...
Read moreThis was my first and LAST time. We were greeted promptly. Our waitresses seemed put out to have to be there. While attempting to take our drink order she was having a conversation with someone via the headset she had on. We made inquiries for which she couldn't answer. She then left to check came back with a drink menu. We made our choices and requested water with lemons. It took (4) four try's to receive the lemon. I ordered a passion fruit mojito. What I received was some coconut mixture on ice. Attempted to ask the waitress who seem confused. I then stopped a gentleman who appeared to be either a supervisor or possibly a manager. He first said he needed to help someone else but I asked him if the drink I was given was a mojito which I already knew it wasn't. He said no, I then asked why was this the drink that was sent by their bartender. His was response was they were probably out of mint. Really??? That.s all you have to say. I told them I didn't want it. My order was also a bust. Ordered the three item a la cart . Three choice for $10.75. What I received was two items for $8.75 and the addition item for $3.00 . When I inquired the waitress again seemed confused. This was the consensus of the individuals I was with. Their food was as bland and forgetful as mine. Their checks were also incorrect. Will we ever return NEVER. This place lacks the basic in customer service and has an awful bartender and lousy...
