Terrific first experience. Really. Delish, high-quality fare that truly satisfies. Went with "THE" sandwich (figured I'd better start with the basics, but, let me say, in complimentary fashion: there was nothing basic about what they offer). For instance: The fry oil wasn't loaded with buildup, left long unchanged--as many other franchises tend to do. The "Rob" sauce (ingredients currently unknown) is clutch. Didn't get the fries, but will next visit. Right down to the premium bun, the order flow, the online presence...seemed each and every very element revealed care, attention, thought and great execution. Generous sandwich-size/portion. FRESH pickles--tangy & cooling..sliced thick-just the way that I like 'em on such a thing. The slaw addition works. Thick, substantial filet, nice crunchy coating. I went with medium spice level. Righteous. They've definitely got something, there. Employees were happy, genuine, smiling, friendly, & helpful. Environment was clean, bright, inviting and welcoming. The design language, signage and trade dress are, especially to me, very appealing, clean, & easy to understand. Distinctly different from Chik-fil-A (not to dis 'em). Miles better than Popeye's (again, not hatin'). I am definitely going back. Definitely worth it. [Update: I did, indeed--just five days later. Met one of the founders who went to college nearby. Great guy.]

10/2023. North Haven Location First visit to Haven Hot Chicken. A few people were ahead of me on arrival, butvwas quickly greeted ( that's important) and order taken. Order came out quick and was freshly made. I got The Sandwich Meal. It was a bit pricey, BUT it was a good meal. I ordered medium heat, seeing it was my first experience. I'm glad I did. Medium had just the right heat.. enough to notice its presence, but not enough to make it burning hot. You can get country which has no heat. Sandwich and fries (fries were really good!) Came in a meal box. Total was 19.00.. with the tip I left. The place was small but VERY clean. I did take notice that when customers were not being served, employees were cleaning and wiping down kitchen counters, serving areas, etc. etc. ( CLEAN IS GOOD, ANOTHER PLUS) Chick fil a, better take notice,, this place is definitely a contender if they can keep prices down and the restaraunt clean. 4 stars.. for now. Let's see how they hold up over time. I will be returning.

I was hoping to leave a 5-star review... That changed after I took my first bite and immediately noticed the bread was not toasted, causing the bottom bun to be completely soggy when I went to eat it. Buns don't have a strong structure, so toasting them will prevent this from happening. Haven is 100% take-out and should know better than to make such a rookie mistake. The fries are overcooked (which is a common error when the staff isn't trained properly), so they taste more like oil than potatoes. I paid just under $17 for The Sandwich Combo (which also comes with a can a soda). It's overpriced, to say the least. On the plus side, the staff is friendly, the turnaround was decent, and the Haven sauce had a great burn to it. It's very unusual for me to return to a restaurant that I gave a bad review on, but may do so some time in the future to see if they fixed said mistakes.

Needed a little snack, and I decided to try this spot. I ordered the Tendie Slider. Jumbo tender , cole slaw, pickles, and Rob sauce on a toasted Martin's potatoe slider bun. I chose medium ( proper spicy), which was good, but I'd go up a level next time. I enjoyed the slider. I just wish it had more slaw on it. I barely tasted it. Also, the bun choice I wasn't a huge fan of because it ended up soggy. But it was a yummy snack. The fries were good as well. The prices are a bit high. Especially 3 dollars for a can of coke. The service was great. The staff were very friendly!

This is my goto place for a quick, no fooling around, ligit crispy chicken cravings. The menu is simple, and you don't need a degree to place an order like other places. 5 levels of heat for chicken. And the best thing is that the sauces are not poured on the chicken after frying. The sauces are in the flour, and they get fried with chicken, so each and every bite has the taste. Certified Halal for those who prefer. They even have veggie options. Service is quick and you have the option of dine in or takeout. 5 stars all the way all day.

A great place for some chicken! They don't mess around with their spice levels. If you like spicy, it'll be hot! The combo meals could be a bit pricey (about $20) but I think it was worth it. Their chicken sandwich is a strong contender to the king of chicken sandwiches (Popeyes, in my opinion). A blast of flavor and juicy meat in every bite. The fries were also good - crispy and seasoned. Mac and cheese was a great! Creamy, well-seasoned, and the mac had a nice texture. Chicken and waffles are also a great bite. Would recommend!
