Wendy's — Restaurant in North Haven

At 6:35pm my son and I decided to grab a fast meal. There was about 5 cars ahead of us and quickly 2 more cars pulled up behind me. It took longer then usual to get up to the speaker. I figured it’s Friday night, they must be busy. The worker at the speaker asked me to wait a moment to order (now there’s about 10cars behind me.) 5-8 min passed and the worker tells me “our system is down please come in.” I went inside at 6:48pm. There was 1 person ahead of me who already ordered and waiting for their meal. After 10min waiting for the cashier to take my order, which was: 1, 4 piece nugget, small chili, and a chicken sandwich meal small. I paid the 13$, (and the wait began!) The drive-through opened once again. So the employees severed them first. There was a line almost out the doors inside. The only thing I received from my order was the chili for my son. I ran to the car and gave him that. They didn’t give any crackers, or hot sauce and they were totally out of any plastic spoons. The chili was also cold so my son didn’t eat that. I stood there for 11/2 hours waiting to get the rest of the food. I watched the workers handle the food with no gloves, also scratching their heads then handling food! The place was disgracefully disgusting! Nothing was handled in a sanitary way. The floor in back near food was wet with “something.” There was a bucket with dirty water siting in the cooking area. There was garbage coming out of the trash, and dirty used napkins pushed back into napkin holders. After standing there for way over a hour and looking around, I decided to get a refund! That’s when my food appeared! I let them know I wanted a refund and that’s when my wait started all over! I just decided to leave. My poor son got sick to his stomach and found a nasty hair cooked into a nugget! I just got home and it’s 9:20pm on the dot! I live inNorth Haven. This Wendy’s is disgusting, dirty, unprofessional, unsanitary, and you will wait for hours to get your food! I will NEVER AGAIN go to Wendy’s of North Haven! I will make sure everyone I know doesn’t go as well! Someone is going to get VERY ILL!!!!!! Oh, and wait for hours to get the germ infested food that will get them Ill. Giving three stars because the food was good and fresh. I waited in line for about fifteen minutes. This is usually not an issue for me as I've always worked in food service and have a high level of patience as I understand it can be frustrating at times. However I have zero patience when the employees are rude. The girl who was expediting orders was nasty. She had a terrible attitude, almost yelling at the people waiting for their food. The other issue I had was the manager was standing right next to her and not saying a word to her about it. They were out of lids for the cup size we ordered, no big deal it happens all the time and they gave me the next cup size up which was greatly appreciated. However there was zero communication between the management and the employees as the expediter apparently had no idea they were out of the lids, which made her even more angry. I would return to this location since the food was good, but I would hope to be treated better upon my return. I am the general manager of a restaurant myself, so I would also hope to see better communication between the managers and employees. I understand how it can ruin the entire job for an employee to have bad or absent management. A good crew thrives off of good management. In my personal place of work I don't allow any management to use the register unless there is an issue. They're not getting paid to take orders, they're getting paid to guide and help their team provide the best...

We had stopped at Wendy’s after checking out trail of terror. Due to it being late and most restaurant kitchens were closed we decided to just stop at Wendy’s on our way back home. We arrived around 11ish and told the lady we needed a minute to look at the menu. Not long after we got a snotty “Are you ready yet?!” Feeling rushed we just ordered quickly. I asked for extra pickles on my cheeseburger. Once we got to the window the gentleman at the window I will say, was very nice. Who ever the lady was with him, was far from nice. She didn’t even look like she cared to be there. The gentleman handed us our food and as we were driving off to a parking spot we noticed the lights inside were getting turned off. It was weird because it states it closes at midnight. Once we parked we noticed how sloppy our burgers were made. There was no extra pickles or let alone any pickles on my sandwich and my boyfriend’s burger was basically a ketchup sandwich. The French fries were even WORSE. They tasted like cardboard as if they were made hours ago! I didn’t even want to go back through the drive thru since the lights were off and we probably would’ve gotten some snarky comment or response from the lady. Now seeing previous reviews I felt the need to leave one myself, which I never feel the need to post a review. I will never visit this Wendy location again and I would stay away if your thinking...
