China House — Restaurant in North Huntingdon Township

The food here is great, they give such big portions every single time we end up eating our food for at least two meals...and I've had Chinese food all over and they have the BEST wonton soup IMO-the filling in the wontons is delicious, the soup is light and not too salty like it sometimes is. We haven't been disappointed with any meal we got, the woman who is always working is friendly, and they are quick on the weekdays-if you're planning for dinner on a weekend though during prime dinner time I'd suggest you call early, we ordered last night and it took 40 minutes to get through to order because they have one phone line, it's only like 2 people working from our observation-a guy works in the back cooking and a woman takes orders, puts them together, waits on people that come to get their orders, takes the calls for orders, and sometimes seems to go back and cook to. It was absolutely worth the wait, food was delicious and we will be back for...

I’ve been ordering from this place a couple times a year, for about 8 yrs. I ordered Shrimp Mei Fun last night, after not ordering from there for a year or 2. (We usually go to the buffet in Monroeville). I ate some and thought it tasted ok, but it smelled a bit weird. Then I go to get a little more out of the container. As I’m scooping it onto my plate, I notice a weird looking shrimp. It was brownish and smelled awful. It was definitely bad. The smell was so bad. I couldn’t believe it. I stood there in shock. I just ate some of that! How could someone miss that? They had to have seen or smelled it. All the rest of the shrimp looked fine, but the whole thing was contaminated. I should have taken a picture, but it smelled so much and I was getting nauseous. I threw it in the garbage can, then took it outside. I didn’t want it in the house. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THERE AGAIN! I still feel a little nauseous today just...

I have a very particular and uncommon eating restriction, I can't eat anything firm due to a jaw disability. I realized after ordering that I wasn't going to be able to eat part of my meal, so I asked them to leave out those parts because I didn't want to waste the food. They immediately and without hesitation accomodated for me in a way I did not ask for nor expect. It really meant a lot to me, since usually my eating restriction is met with confusion or a lack of understanding. So I have to say thank you for that.

The food itself was very very good. Large portions, that single order lasted me for 3 meals! I don't get restaurant food often, but I will definitely come back here if I have the chance. The kindness and value I got...
