Where do I start… there’s no menu available online. Their photos are a fraud and sad attempt to reality. I made the decision to drive the 15 minutes to this place as I figured based off photos they may have made improvements of their awful slow hotel location years ago. 1. Price. It’s not worth $15 I paid $15 with no side for the thing in those photos. 2. Biscuit. For a biscuit place the biscuits should be good. These are not good. Not even close to a pillsbury pop a can biscuit even. They are dry, stale, over baked and plain terrible. Way too thick and lack the flavor a good biscuit should have. 3. Sandwich. 3 days later my mouth still hurts from the chicken. It tasted as nothing but grease that’s has yet to be strained and cleaned. No flavor just temperature hot even eating 15 minutes after ordering it. Fried egg was over done and beyond anything one would order an egg. The bacon was average and had no good flavor. Still over cooked. It said it came with chives. There were no chives (see pics). There was also no sauce. Sandwiches, especially breakfast need sauce, the slice of cheap cheddar cheese did not help the sandwich but was a fair attempt I was hoping this would be a good experience but it’s beyond awful. 0 out of 10.

I had real high hops for this eatery. Fell short we were there for breakfast, busy but to bad. so many simple things to help this place be better. I got db mac cheese. which is mc with honey hot chicken and bacon jam. chicken was wonderful. The mac&cheese lacked mac, so it was more like this wonderful rich cheese sauce, but very few macaroni. macaroni is the cheap stuff but had all this wonderful flavorful cheese sauce with very little macaroni. when i cut the chicken, it just got drenched in the cheese sauce. next food was The cure fluffy egg ontop of biskuit with grilled onion bacon jam an cheese. eggs were great bacon jam looked good but had no bacony taste. all on top of this wonderful looking biskuit looked like flaky layers .looks were deceiving. biskuit was tough an chewy not flakey. like the dough had been worked to much, so not impressed . Potatoes looked great but lacked seasonings. there was no ketchup or hot sauce or salt or pepper out . said you could get your juice when asking with what we dont have any today for got to bring it. all this with no drinks was 38 $ not sure ill try it again for the money. no one came an asked if we needed anything how was the food tasting ect. great music playing.

Customer service (facial expressions, greetings, etc) goes a long way. The person I encountered at the pickup window missed the mark. The energy I felt once someone finally came to the window was like I was a bother…but I was the one waiting outside in 90° heat.

My order was completely wrong. No one answered the phone when I called so I had to drive back to the restaurant. For the amount we the consumers are paying for your product, we should NOT be shorted. What’s funny is the ticket attached to the bag was correct, but the food didn’t match the product description & ticket at all.

Order was corrected, thank you! However again for the amount we the consumer are paying for your product, reheating that type of food is unacceptable. When I checked the food in the restaurant it looked fine, but by the time I got home everything was soggy. The sogginess of the biscuit ruined the sandwich, and the hash coins were salty and soggy as well. I’d also like to note that the biscuits & hash coins were crispy the first time I got home, so that’s how I know they had restructured & reheated the same food.

I’m saddened to even have to write this review because this wasn’t my first time eating here. I had actually recommended this place to my elderly mother for lunch because it was locally owned and tasty the last time I went, and we both hadn’t ate anything all day. It almost immediately sent her to the bathroom after she finished eating, so there’s that…. It’s safe to say I will not be...

The new fried chicken was truly some of the best in Kansas City, and that I've had anywhere. It is a really good seasoning mixture, with a good heat level, and they offer it in a Mild up to a very spicy level (they have a fun name for it.) Great taste and juiciness for the dark and white meat (sometimes hard for places to do!).

I wish it was open today because I want it now, but they are open later on some days these days which is great. The service was fast and they really care about your enjoyment. The biscuits as always are amazing, but almost better when you're eating them with the fried chicken. The dark and white meat is cooked perfectly, and incredibly consistent, very juicy while having a very crisp and crunchy crust.

You will not find better fried chicken anywhere in KC and frankly much anywhere else. I had the baked mac and cheese and it was rich, had some cheese with some pull, balanced with some smoother cheese sauce, while having the nice browned top, which was a great balance for me. It had a good salt level. Highly recommended.

I love their biscuits and gravy, and it's perhaps a little different than most, but the mini biscuits along with a really great sausage gravy is awesome. Wish they were all this good everywhere else.

The cakes were good, a very rich chocolate cake and a lemon cake, definitely enough for 2 people to share. People should definitely go here more. The fried chicken is a great expansion to their menu, and I'm excited to see what...
