If I could give this place more stars I would. I had typed in 'speakeasy' as we wanted that kind of vibe for the night. We went on a Thursday night the first time and we were the only people there. Which worried me a bit because I was instantly in love with this place! But then we went on a Friday night and it was busy and they even did karaoke. That was a surprise to us and we were elated. Honestly, if I lived in Kansas City this was probably a place I would go to every week. You could spend so much time just walking around and looking at everything on display. The first night we went every TV had the same movie on. It literally was like going down into someone's basement in the 80's. I also loved how every menu was on a DVD cover 😊 It should be noted though, on how to get into this place. The first time we walked into the movie theater off of Armour because it was unclear. And none of the reviews said how to get in. You have to go to the back of the building through the alley. HIGHLY recommend and we...
Read moreWe were super excited to find this place during our visit and found out they've been open about 3 years.
We got there pretty close to opening at 6pm on Friday night and were the first ones there. The design of the bar is pretty neat and feels like you're in a friends basement or a video store back in the 90s.
They have free gameplay (we played nintendo 64) on a few systems as long as you're drinking, which is pretty sweet. I enjoyed the Kel's orange soda which is basically fanta with vanilla vodka and we each all had an adult fun juice and both were pretty solid.
No food but they do have a snack machine with chips a few basic things which I definitely took advantage of. By the time we left, all the game systems were occupied and there were about 20ish...

As someone who was too young to fully appreciate the pop culture of the 90’s, this place took me back to my early childhood and gave me some alcohol to go with it. Even the drinks have a 90’s theme to them- the adult capri suns and Tommy Pickles cocktail are both tasty. It’s like your old friend from high school who loved movies and video games never left his parents’ basement and opened up a bar-like chill zone down there. They had a huge selection of movies and memorabilia and have something playing on all the screens. Lots of couches and tube TVs to play PS1, N64, SNES and Sega. This isn’t exactly a traditional bar or gaming zone but it’s well worth...
