Lucky Dragon Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in North Kansas City

Terrible! I'm too scared to order from them ever again. I ordered from them on New Years Eve last year, thought I would enjoy me some nice take out alone while my boyfriend is working. Around the time my food gets to me, I found it strange that the man was waiting for me to pay him, which I thought I did. But turns out the lady over the phone was too over worked she didn't even ask me what type of payment I was going to use, I was confused but didn't call back. When I told the man I thought I had paid with debit, he drops the bag of my food in it onto the floor and yells at me to call them with using his phone, he demanded me. As I did, I told them what I wanted to pay with, gave them the information they needed, and he left and I take my food in, as I was very flustered and anxious about what happened, I tried to enjoy my food nonetheless. But after taking everything out from their packages, one of my food containers had a loogy in it! And if nobody knows what a loogy is, it's what you do when you snort up, and gather boogers and saliva into your mouth with and spit it, and that's what I found in my damn food. It had the same consistency as a loogy, I just couldn't eat the food I ordered. I'm not the type of person to complain, I don't like complaining, I hate it because it usually doesn't end well even if I am super polite, I REALLY miss take out food but these guys just absolutely ruined it for me, now I'm stuck with Tai Pei... which is good but obviously not the same as take out... I have bad trust issues with Chinese take out places now... And for many months I have been craving for Chinese food where it's driving me crazy, but the only place I can think of is Bo Lings, top notch quality food, I actually have no problem with them, they're amazing! But the price to pay is super expensive, of course you pay for what you get, large amount of food and in good quality, but it's not something I can get every so often like I would with Lucky Dragon... this rant has me depressed now... gonna go eat a beef and rice Tai...

I ordered Lucky Dragon for delivery when I was home alone with my sleeping baby. The two stars is for how quick it arrived and that the quality of food was decent . It loses 3 for the delivery driver. He called when he got here, and I told him I would buzz him in . I put instructions on how to do that on my online order . He was immediately put off that I was asking him to get out of his car, but I couldn't leave the baby alone . Once I opened the door, the man immediately took a step inside my apartment. We just stared at each other for a while and then I extended my hands for my food and he jerked it away . He then put my food on the floor - why? - and started making phone calls on speaker phone while still in my apartment .He made three phone calls, spoke in a different language, and hung up . In the middle of that I asked if he needed help and he just waved me off - STILL INSIDE MY HOME. He pulled out a reciept and slapped it against my door and told me I needed to tip him .This was not a credit card receipt, just a regular itemized receipt that he had me write a total on and sign . It was about this point that i realized he had his glasses on upside down .

I was a little scared since it was just me and my baby and he welcomed himself in my front door .But overall it was just a bazaar interaction.

The food was decent and definitely priced well .But I'll pay extra to go somewhere else and not be creeped out by the...

OH..................MY...................GOD !!!!!!!! Before you eat , you need to READ this ! Now , I travel just about all over the country in my job , fly alot , drive alot stay at alot of different places , and yes , eat alot of different things in alot of different places . When it comes to food , I believe it is very important to be able to , first of afford it , second to be able to eat it , hopefully like it as well , but most of all ? have a good memory of it and make you want it again . Well this place , The Lucky Dragon , has knocked it out of the park ! I dare say , this is the BEST Chinese food I have ever eaten ANYWHERE , and I've had it literally from coast to coast , big cities , small towns , north south east west and in the middle , and by far , its the epitome of great food , in every way . The price , the portion , the time , and the TASTE !!! There are many reasons that i like coming to Kansas City MO , but now , every time I hear I that I'm KC bound , I am sure that The Lucky Dragon will pop into my mind , and I will plan my stay around being able to eat there , my time frame , lodging , etc .My hats off to you Lucky...
