The only reason they got this one star was because it's the only way it would let me write the review. My girlfriend told me how good Firehouse subs was and we decided to go there to eat. We got there around 7:30 something pm. Immediately the young ladies behind the counter taking order and in the making sub spot already seem like they had attitudes when we came in there. Mind you they don't close til 9pm. As my girlfriend was saying her order the girl taking it was trying to rush her and be so fast that she was saying the order wrong and my girlfriend had to correct her and say if you slow down you can get the order right. The order was a Turkey bacon ranch with no tomatoes and no bacon with a pickle on the side and I ordered a club on a sub with a pickle on the side as well with 4 packs of firehouse sauce. We got the meal deal. As we're waiting for our order they had attitudes and was packing up the stuff like they were closing. There was the sweetest older lady in there wiping down the chairs and telling the young ladies behind the counter how she did this and that for them so it be easier for them to close later and they seem to have attitudes with their faces as she said it and to us that was very disrespectful. We finally get our food and had to ask for the sauce and the lady had an attitude about that as she gave it. We drove about 20 mins home and we finally sit to eat around 8:30 and when we open our food (subs just threw together horrible)my girlfriend took a bite of her food and said this doesn't taste right and about five mins later her mouth started itching and she started coughing and her thoart started to closed. She has severe allergies and is allergic to pork of any kind they had made her sub wrong. It had ham on it. Everything wasn't on the sub like it should have been. The paper was also stuck inside both subs and on bottom we had to peel it off. At 8:35pm somewhere around there I called and the phone just rung and rung and rung no one answered. This was the the lakewood location. We demand our money back or free sub meals bc we paid $30.88 for our food not to be right and my girlfriend suffered a severe allergic reaction. Luckily we were able to control it at home and not have to go to the ER bc that would have been a whole different conversation. Would not recommend this location. Read moreCalled this place today to place a pickup order. The employee answered the phone and without even waiting on me to answer placed me on "hold". He actually just sat the phone down. I could hear him laughing and joking with someone in the lobby. At first I thought it was an order but after being on "hold" for about 5 minute and hearing multiple stories no order was being taken. I decided maybe I needed to call again to remind him I was still on hold. I hung up and waited a few minutes and tried to call back but apparently he still had me on "hold". We decided to just go up there and place the order. When we walked in there were 3 employees present. There was zero urgency by 2 of the employees, in fact, one of the men was more interested in the Saints Football game on the television than he was with helping ANYONE. The lobby slowly began tp fill with customers that had orderd online or by phone. I saw at least 5 different people walk in and the answer was always the same, "oh yeah, we working on that". After about 20 minutes we had our sandwiches with others still waiting on theirs. I didn't get a chance to catch the names of these employees but I can assure you, this isn't what we expect when we visit a Firehouse! Read moreUpdated review: I will leave my original review below. But I have returned to this located multiple times since. Vast improvement with employees. Service has been top notch, extremely polite and professional. Prompt phone service and food was fresh and served quickly. The restaurant felt and appeared cleaner than before and even with my schedule forcing me closer to closing time they where very helpful and didn’t make me feel unwanted or anything. Tiffany, Jacob and I know I will butcher his spelling but I believe it was Jahserra tonight all gave A+ service and provided good fresh food and a clean restaurant.
Original: This location has gone very far down hill and is full of people who don’t want to do their jobs. Multiple times have I come in and they refuse to make more tea, they won’t take phone orders if they even answer the phone. And now twice I’ve been flat out refused service walking in an hour before they close. tonight being a third time and it was 45 minutes before they close.
This is on top of extremely slow and inaccurate service.
