What a great experience. I've not been to Olive Garden in over 10 yrs due to the decline in the quality of their food. But let me explain what made this such a special visit. We took our daughter, son-in-law & grandkids out for their wedding anniversary. When we arrived, a specific waitress, upon seeing us instantly said, that group is mine, please, PLEASE, sit them in my section!!! It made us feel so special This waitress made us feel SO welcome. She did nothing but add to the experience. She treated us as if we were a very special part of her family & wanted everything to be perfect for us!! We absolutely loved her, & bragged on her to management before leaving. She kept the food coming & was beyond attentive. Knowing that it was an anniversary dinner, she did everything in her power to keep my grandkids content. She brought them small bowls of grapes to snack on after they finished their meals, made sure that they had crayons & paper to color on & did several other things to help entertain them, which gave us the chance to fully enjoy the meal & family time. She continued to bring breadsticks with alfredo bowls to dip them in until the meal arrived. The food was significantly better than the last time I went to Olive garden. It was tasty & filling, & presented well!!! Before we left, the waitress thankes us all for "MAKING HER NIGHT"!!!!! Ive never heard that from any wait staff. She alsi gave us each a hug & thanked us profusely for coming to see her that night. SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE & WAS EXCEPTIONALLY SWEET. She made a good meal into an extraordinary meal. I left feeling like I wanted to come back the following day simply to soak up more of her cheerful engaging, sweet personality. I will make it a priority to visit this specific Olive Garden anytime I'm in the area just to engage with her. We left her an incredible but very well earned tip. I can see this particular location prospering greatly simply because of her treatment of the customers. She is clearly in the right job field for her personality, & I wish her the absolute best of everything...
Read moreMe and my son decided to eat at the North Little Rock Olive Garden for the first time since we were in the area. The restaurant building and decor was very nice. The staff was friendly as you were greeted when walking in. We were told there was a 35 - 40 minute wait, but we actually was seated sooner which was surprising since that usually doesn't happen. When we was seated the hostess got our drink orders right away and told us our Waiter would be with us shortly. We waited for quite awhile before our waitress arrived to take our order. She asked if we wanted soup or salad. I ordered the salad while my son ordered the chicken and gnocchi soup. That again took a very long time to come. We noticed other people that came after us at least getting their salads so of course that caused some frustration... When we finally got our food the salad was perfectly made and the soup was hot and delicious. She also brought our bread sticks which was warm but hard and dry like it was reheated. We then hat to wait close to 40 min to get our main entrees! We had finished our soup and salad and drinks and was just sitting wondering if we were forgotten. The food finally came. I order spaghetti with mushroom sauce and my son ordered chicken Alfredo. My spaghetti dish had no seasoning at all. Very bland. All I tasted was hot noodles. My son said his pasta was good. I had to wait for the waitress to come back to get salt and pepper. When I finally got that it made the pasta better. While eating I noticed our waitress never removed any of our dirty dishes from the start till the end, even our old cups when we got a refill. Needless to say, our table was crowded with dirty plates and cups. I was really hoping our experience would've been better since the was taking my son out for winning a basketball...
Read moreOkay, first this review is going to be two parts. A while back approximately 5 months ago I had stopped going to Olive Garden all together. The food was sub-par, the wait times for getting seated and for waiting on the food was very poor and that is being kind. Also 95 percent of The time The staff barely went through the motions. The management seemed to be too bothered to actually listen. You try to talk to them, they would go "Uh huh, yes, well that's a corporate decision or policy nothing I can do."then they would leave. I decided they were mot worth my time, money, or concern. Definitely would tell someone to go somewhere else. Up until that point i had been a 15 year regular. Well skip forward 5 months. I am near the NLR AR location for an appointment. I thought I am hungry, want something light, maybe soup an breadsticks. Hopefully they can't screw that up this time. (They had before.) So I went in. The place had been totally remodeled. I was greeted and seated very pleasantly and fast. I ordered and was treated very nice. My drink was on the table in under two minutes and my soup and breadsticks was there in under 5 minutes. The server, a sweetheart kept my glass of tea topped off and the food promptly on the table. (Large tip.) I thought damn this is like it used to be, I missed this! Unfortunately i thought it might be a fluke. However I have been back twice since then and it was comparable. The servers were close but not as prompt and attentive but close enough for a good tip for them as well. So far I haven't needed to speak to a manager. Hopefully I won't. So far so good. I think it is a good start if they continue, I will likely be a regular again. For the time being I think you would be okay in going. I will get back after more visits tell me if it has come back to a...
