It's very seldom that I write a review, however this place truly impressed me. I wanted to try Frank's out since they opened, I had my husband with me, who is the world's pickiest eater, we pulled in the drive through , my first impression was, it kind of looked like a half finished restaurant, the menu was tacked on the board and another one nailed to the side of the building, from the drive through window I could see domino's on a shelf and blank walls like they were barely operating, I thought, oh my this is not going to be good, the young lady took our order in a timely manner, I had the Ruben dog with fries, my husband had a double patty burger and fries, A young man came to the window and presented us with a gift bag sort of looking to go bag, he had a big smile on his face like he knew he was serving us something wonderful, the first thing we noticed the fries were fresh cut potatoes fries that were piping hot and perfectly salted, my Ruben hotdogs was to die for, they toasted the bun and it seemed buttery like it was just melting in your mouth, my husband sissapeared into the other room and I didn't hear a word out of him, when I located him his mouth was full and he was pointing at the burger with a disbelieve look on his face, he swalled his food and looked at me and said, this is darn delicious, and it truly was. Thank you so much for opening in our neighborhood, what a breath of fresh...

So what can I say about Franks? Really the first thing is that you need to try them for yourself. I’ve been trying to find places around my towns that are “local”… I am tired of the chain places that are all about the sales and they give up on the customer and quality. Well Franks does not do either of these. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and welcome. And that didn’t stop once we made our purchase. Several times during the meal, we had someone ask how we are doing, or how is everything, and even if there was anything else that we needed. So now about the food… I got a Chicago Dog, which was fantastic!!! The seasoning and fixings were top notch. One of the best Chicago dogs I have had outside of actually being in Chicago! I also got a Yankee dog and a BLT dog. Both of these were so unique and extremely good. The kraut was so flavorful and who can go wrong with a dog wrapped in bacon??? While the indoor dining was not crowded at all (we went on a Thursday night) the Drivethru was hoping! If you are craving a good flavorful hot dog… Franks is your place! We will...

I wanted to do this review because never have I ever been to a hotdog restaurant such as this (my pictures do not capture how awesome these franks were TBH) …

These are not your typical hotdogs - Wow. The best hotdog experience I’ve ever had. The bun was so soft yet firm enough to hold the ingredients. It was slightly toasted and lightly buttered. A burst of flavor and so filling - absolutely worth the money.

The Fryin’ Hawaiian Hotdog was such a pleasant flavor profile. Nothing that I would have imagined - a happy marriage of a savory hotdog wrapped in bacon and fried, with juicy pineapple slices and teriyaki sauce on top -perfection.

We also tried the Bodega Burger (chop beef)“hot dog”, which was a chopped hamburger on one of their magnificent hotdog buns. It had cheese sauce drizzled on top with pickles and onions as well (I added the mustard packet -even there was delicious and not basic plain yellow mustard). I was skeptical, but my skepticism left quickly. 10/10. The fries were fresh and house made too - Yum.

This place is definitely a win for McCain Boulevard. We...

My sister and I tried Franks for the first time yesterday and we were hella impressed. The owner greeted us to explain the menu and answer any questions we had. I ordered the Build Your Own Dog and asked for mine with chili, cheese, and onions. I also ordered a side of fries and a drink. I don’t know remember which dog my sister got but it had mustard, onions, and relish. The buns were buttery and toasted and the chili was delicious. It is definitely homemade as it was thick and flavorful. They added the perfect amount on the hotdog. My sister liked it so much that she went back and got chili cheese fries. The only complaint we have is they used nacho cheese instead of shredded cheese. I will be back again. I love supporting black businesses!
