Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach

This location was the worst delivery pizza experience I have ever had hands down. Since most places are short staffed we expected a longer wait on a Friday evening. However, we did not expect to have our order outsourced to doordash that got lost and when we contacted the store to find out where our order was we were told we would have to call door dash. I explained I didn’t order through door dash and that they needed to make this right since they entered it into the doordash system. The manager said he would have his delivery driver bring our order to us right after it was remade. At almost two hours since our initial order we received our pizza but not our drinks. Called the store again and another store associate said there were no drinks on my order. I was looking right at my online receipt and walked through it with her. She then put another manager on the line that informed me that once the driver got back they could send the drinks back out. I asked if they can just refund the drinks and was told they can’t do that but they can give store credit. Not being from the area that wouldn’t do me any good. The manager put me on hold to ask the general manager about a refund and she came back on the line and told me I should have a refund within 3 business days that they were voiding my transaction and it should reverse on my card. I have followed up with the manager 3 times over 10 days and still no refund. Called customer service at corporate and now have to wait another 2 days before it can be escalated any further. WORST CUSTOMER...

The worst papa John's pizza I've ever eaten. I ordered it on the internet while I was at Lowes Home improvement store. I went in to get one thing and I was in and out ...3 mins max. I then went 2 mins away to pick up my pizza. I knew that I was way early, but I went in and sat down. The lady came up to ask me if she could help me and I said, I just ordered the pizza only like 5 min before so I know it's not ready. She walked back and said yes, it's ready he's cutting it now...I said Wow... I only live 5 mins away, and when I got there I was starving so we immediately opened it up.. It looked bad, but I though well, you never know. Well, it was not just bad, it was gross. It was not even hot and it looked like it had sat in the box for a while. They were not busy, and I was the only customer I saw while I was there. I called the store and told her that I ordered pepperoni and cheese, but they left off the pepperoni . She said I made that pizza, look under the cheese. So, low and behold there was the very thinnest pepperonies I have seen. They were so thin that if you didn't know they were there you couldn't taste them. I am going to call the corporate office tomorrow. After all this I decided to see what their reviews and rating was, and if I had seen them before I ordered I would not have gotten this pizza. It was a 3.2 before I have my 1 star rating so I know it's lower than 3.2 now. Anyway, all I can say is...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!! This is where "BUYER BEWARE "...

I travel the US about 150,000 miles per year, and I enjoy Papa John's about twice per month in a different city around the country each time. I have always enjoyed Papa John's, until I had pizza from this location at 104 Highway 17 S in Myrtle Beach. Not only did I have a negative experience while on the phone with the manager, but when my order arrived at my resort tonight, I could not have been more disappointed in the appearance of my two pizzas. The crust was flat and crunchy on the edges, and the ingredients on my supreme pizza were less than attractive in appearance. And the 6 Cheese Tuscan was most definitely not a 6 cheese pizza. (Not an appetizing sight)

Further, when I served up the pizza to the family, my family asked, "I thought you were ordering from Papa John's!" They could not recognize the pizza as having come from PJ's.

Lastly, the taste was less than acceptable.

Thanks to the lack of success in dealing with the manager over the phone the first time I called to place the order, I felt it would be useless trying to call and complain about the pizza order that I received.

I am not a happy guy, and my family is not happy with our experience at this particular Papa John's, and I assure you, fellow consumer, other options for pizza delivery should be explored before giving your hard earned money to this particular establishment. You will feel cheated out...
