The Wine Shoppe — Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach

Very rude customer service.. Asked for a certain wine. When directed to it. The person I was with wanting the product explained that it wasn't what she wanted the associate threw her hands in the air.. and said figure it out yourself then...i walked off and went on to look for my own purchase. The lady I was with also ignored her rude remark. So when i approached reg. I asked what sweet wine she would recommend for a christmas gift and her response to me was .. Oh I'm afriad to recommend one you'll have to figure it out yourself. I ignored that rude comment too.. I said can we move on past this. It wasnt even me you were talking too ...and I'm trying to make a purchase and ask your recommendation. I tried repeatedly to move forward and she refused to .. She finally pushed it far enough that i told her to take the Purchase i already had planned to buy and said she could stick it up her ... Of course she told me to leave. Then refused to sale the wine my friend found.. Who said...

I was in the store to buy wine and had to use the restroom. Upon exiting the restroom to continue shopping I was accosted by a very rude and abrasive older blonde woman who demanded to know what I was doing. I explained I was shopping and needed to use the restroom, she told me numerous times it was not a public restroom. I informed her I was a customer and had used it many times during the wine tastings and was there to buy wine. At this point she yelled at me and told me I was wrong and that it wasn't a public restroom and the wine people shouldn't be telling anyone it's OK to use. At this point I apologized and left. I will buy wine elsewhere...

The Wine Shoppe is awesome! One of my husband's and my fave places to go on a Friday night for their wine tastings. The ambience is fun, Steve and Ken are a blast and very knowledgeable about wine. All round great guys and great place. If you are looking for an 'event' and something to do on a Friday evening, make sure to check this place out (and try their meat & cheese platter ... yum!). Plus, it's an excellent shop for buying wine....
