This is an extremely clean store to shop at during the pandemic! They did a fantastic job with resizing my fiancé’s ring he inherited from his deceased grandfather. They made it look brand new and really did justice to his grandpa, and now he can wear his legacy! My engagement ring is also from here and we ordered my wedding band today! Amazing quality rings! I also love that it only takes two days to get sized, cleaned, and ordered. Also, Holly and Amy were very kind and helpful to us.
I did however take off two stars because we did have an encounter that was absolutely inappropriate and upsetting. The African American man, I believe he said his name was George, who only works the weekends, was very rude to us. I asked to see wedding bands within a certain price range and he said, “So let me ask you something, why would you ask me that? You’ll never find what you want for that price.” I’m sorry, but I didn’t have $1300-$7000+ to shell on a simple wedding band during a pandemic, and yes sir, I asked you that because you aren’t the one paying for it. We wanted to see wedding bands under $500, and I said preferably with diamonds but we mainly just wanted to see our options - that’s it, no crazy requests, just wanted options. Instead, he continually showed rings out of our budget and specifically tried to sell us a ring over $1300 and offered to take off $200, and said, “I’m done dancing around numbers. I can take $200 off but that’s it. Either buy it or if that’s not doable, you’ll just have to keep looking elsewhere,” and chuckled. Mind you, I never asked if he could take money off. He just took it upon himself to and made me feel bad about it. I declined and he started getting angry with us. He made us feel bad for not being able to afford one over a grand. I know he wants to make sales and that’s his job, but when you don’t respect a customer’s budget and make them feel bad or push them to buy something out of their range and/or what they don’t want, that’s disrespectful. That’s not sales. I get times are hard and you need a commission check, but the way he went about it was inappropriate. We left upset, and went back a few days later and ended up finding the PERFECT band with Amy within our budget! She was amazing. Not pushy at all, and immediately showed us multiple rings within a budget that the other man didn’t show because he wanted a bigger commission check. She showed us multiple affordable rings the other man never showed us, and I got my 14K white gold Diamond band.
Thus, you have to find the right sales representative, which as a consumer, you should have all sales representatives RESPECTFUL. Not just some of the team - all of the team. We will be...
Read moreI brought my 10 year old diamond ring to Jared's for repair after noticing a broken prong. It was recommended by a salesperson that I have the head completely replaced which willingly did. TWO HOURS after picking up my beautiful ring from Jared's the DIAMOND FELL OUT!! My husband and I looked for the stone all night with no luck before LUCKILY finding the diamond the next day on a rug in our garage entry!! Saying I'm happy we found it is an understatement!
BUT let me tell you, Jared's has been condescending and difficult to work with regarding their faulty work! Initially, they seemed apologetic and shocked at the poor workmanship and the near loss off the diamond. They agreed to repair their work and suggested a different style head which "may be more secure" (maybe should have been recommended initially?) I accepted this offer. I asked for a refund of the repair cost ($209) and, after some wrangling, was told that I would be granted the refund when I came in to pick up the ring.
When I arrived to pick up my ring for the second time in a week, I was surprised by being presented with a form to sign waiving the 6 month guarantee on the workmanship. I told the salesperson that I was not comfortable waiving the warranty after the experience we just had and didn't understand why I would be required to do so. I was told it was in exchange for the refund on the first bad repair. I politely refused to sign the waiver and they refused to give me my jewelry. The supporting staff suggested I take my ring back to the jeweler I bought it from if I was not happy with Jared's... At this point this was nothing but pompous condescension. After 45 minutes of listening to a one-sided half-truth-filled conversation between the salesperson and a manager she called at another store because there was no manager available at this store, I left without taking the refund in order leave it as ransom for my jewelry.
What would you do? Would you take the $210 refund with no guarantee on the workmanship after, or would you accept the second repair with no refund? (Either choice cost hours of your time and is delivered with a fat side helping of condescension). Either way, we will never buy jewelry or have jewelry repair completed by Jared's or their parent...
Read moreIt's sad I used to love this store I go out of my way, an hour drive to shop there, but after today's visit don't know if I will come back. I have spent a lot over the years and I felt like it didn't make a difference. I am sorry when buying jewelry it is a big expense so I expect my sales person to bend over backwards. I am disappointed. The problem was I was trying to put together a mother's day Pandora bracelet all I needed to make this perfect was one charm and the store ran out and they couldn't order it anymore. I asked them if they could call around (the sales person didn't even offer to call and seemed irritated I asked) she found it in a store an hour away. I was willing to drive no problem. The other store wanted to know what time tomorrow i would be there and i asked if i could pick it up Saturday due to working late. They said no, ok I asked well what if I paid for it over the phone they said no. It's less then a $50 charm but it is what I needed ( the charm was March birth stone and they didn't have any other options) to make my bracelet for mom who lost a son my brother and few months back. Your tell me they...
