It is unfortunate that I must a write a negative review to an otherwise very good pizza place in our town. It is also unfortunate that one bad incident negates all of the positive experiences. I wish I had written a good review a while back...thus life. Our church had organized a safety team training. Off duty law enforcement, ex military and engaged citizens. I walked in at 10 am on Saturday morning to order 5 pizzas and 5 subs for a 12:30 lunch. Apparently when I walked in and said that I would like to put in a large order the "manager" or "former WWF wrestler" with a temper or whoever he was exclaimed that it would be for 11:30. I said No, for 12:30. He insisted it would be for 11:30 with an Angela. I said no, not Angela and I need an order for 12:30. He said I do not know anything about any order and that they need 24 hour notice for big orders. Huh? For 5 pizzas? He said he heard 12. The dude had a hard time listening because I actually said you have to listen to what I am saying. He then said to his cohort go ahead and put the order in in a tone that would connote that he's doing me a favor or a one time exception. Realizing that $100 order is not good enough for this dude, my two sons who were with me and I told him that we were going to go somewhere else. He said that was fine. We went to Il Primo sharing the story with a manager there. We had a great lunch ready at 12:30 with pizzas, wings, salads and sodas. Thank you Il Primo of North Port for saving the day. It is amazing that an improperly positioned individual in the service industry can ruin the reputation of any business. I think it's time for Marco's Pizza to have another episode of Undercover Boss but this time right here in North Port. I wish to leave more positive reviews for all of the wonderful restaurant staff in our city because there are definitely more positive experiences than negative. Will we go back to Marco's? Who knows. We love Marco's flavor but...

Over the first half of 2024, I would add dipping sauces to my order and they would not be included in the order as it was delivered. It took me three attempts to rectify that oversight. Last pizza before this one had almost 3 inches of crust around the toppings. This order sat for almost a half hour before it was picked up for delivery. It arrived barely warm. The experience of dealing with Marcoās has declined markedly. Half the time delivery is done by one of the food delivery apps. Itās a shame too because I really like Marcoās menu, but if it canāt be delivered in a timely manner, and if the order canāt be correct, then thereās no point. There are a lot of places to spend my hard earned money. Customer service is where there is a difference. Iāll be trading with someone else for a while.
Fast forward to today, November 20, 2024. For my grandchildrenās birthday today I ordered two large pies. It took almost 40 minutes from the time it came out of the oven to travel approximately 3 miles and then when it arrived, apparently some hard turns were made during the delivery process Sliding slices on top of other slices of pizza. And I got shorted on the dipping sauce again. $50 later, it hasnāt...

Last Fri, I ordered delivery... always get carryout since .1 miles from my house, but I was drained. Paid almost 11 bucks between fee and tip for the luxury of delivery on 27 bucks worth of pizza. Estimate 45 minutes... already a bit crazy considering proximity but whatever. 45 minutes passes, app says order is still being made so I called. They said it is out for delivery, and before I could respond, hung up. 18 minutes later, I get cold pizza and cold chicken. Responded to survey and requested to be contacted, and sent additional correspondence via their website requesting refund. I ate the cold gross food because we were starving and had company, but I certainly don't think I should have to pay AND TIP for both gross food and late delivery. They have not responded, and it has been a week. So, they lost a weekly customer permanently. I do...
