Scotty's Pub — Restaurant in North Port

Hello! Was driving through town last night and decided to stop at Scotty’s to have a beer before hitting the road back home to Tampa. Upon arrival I noticed they were having a karaoke competition which didn’t bother me. I was quite hooked on one of the singers voice and felt she had the competition in the bag. However, she did not. She somehow lost. But once I learned she lost to one of Scottys own bartenders my suspicion senses started to tingle. Is this not a conflict of interest for a host location to have a competitive edge with one of their own participating? I am just a passerby but this makes me not want to ever go to scottys again knowing their shady practices. Who knows where else they are cutting corners and cheating customers. Unacceptable : the post following.. IT'S A WOMAN OWNER. NEVER THERE AND NEVER EVER EVER FREE BEER. I'm writing a review due to the horrible fact that this place is worse than a ghetto bar. Bartenders are EXTREMELY Rude and of no helpful service if Their Talking to Anyone. Never been more disrespected. I was refused service from a 3 to 5 year employee for speaking my mind While she wasn't even present and I was told never to talk bad about her and to leave NOW. AS well, this lady works their most of the week and everyone says Karen, the main bartender, is the worst thing to happen to Scotty's Pub. It's almost always empty. Scotty's Pub used to be a really cool and fun place to hang out with friends. Sadly, the bar is under new management and she really turned that place into a dump. The bartenders they now have suck! They drink behind the bar and are known for taking pills and even offering them to their customers! You may have to wait at least 15 min before you get served a beer! Besides, they're not personable and very rude. The place is extremely dirty and smells of stale cigarettes and people who don't bathe. They have a new karaoke/dj guy who is racist and has used the "n" word which I and my friends find very disrespectful. I will ever step foot in that hell hole!
