Wow. Golden Chick in the gas station on the corner of Rufe Snow and Hightower has very unprofessional employees. My mother went and got us lunch today 5/23/2025 around 2pm and they messed up the order. So she called them to let them know she was going to bring back the wrong sandwich and side to be replaced. When she got there she gave them the copy of the receipt where they had marked the wrong meal. And attempted to give them the food back and asked that the correct order be filled. Mind you this was less than 10 mins after the first order. The lady she spoke to said the receipt say what we gave you. My mother then say yes but it's not what I had ordered the person who took the order got it wrong. Then the lady says well we are not going to replace it. The other employee there says we can just make her a new sandwich no big deal. The first lady then says I said no! We are not going to do that. My mom then asked for a managerus number and left. She called that number and got another rude person who divulged that she was not a manager. I wonder if I was even an employee or just a friend of the first lady. My mother is a senior citizen and should not be treated like this. She's going to track down the corporate number and give it a call. If anyone else has had an issue at that store I'd love to...

I love Golden chicken and I have always had good experience in other locations so I thought I would visit this location since I was in the area.
It was a Sunday and a very slow day. You would think that the staff would be in a better place to provide a good experience but that was not the case. The fried chicken was cold and soggy. The Spicy tenders didn’t have the seasoning on them coz they “ran out of it”.
I realized after leaving the place that I have some items missing which I have paid for. So when I went back, the manager or the drive thru staff lady(there was only one food handling staff and other janitor) told me with a straight face “oh you FORGOT to take this item with you”.
So basically she didn’t apologize but instead blamed that it was my mistake. I’m never going to this location again.
Hope the corporate or the franchise owner keeps a close eye on the quality of service of this...
Read moreOrdered online on a Sunday at 9:15pm. Online hours say open until 10pm. Hours on their door at the physical location also say they're open until 10pm. Website took my order and my money. Arrived at the time it said my order would be ready, 9:40pm, and they were closed. Gas station attendant said they'd been closed for an hour. Called and talked to the manager the next day and she said they would refund my money if I could come up there, apologized and said they knew there was an issue with the website taking orders after they closed. Got up there and the GM basically accused me of lying even though I had the confirmation email of my order which was time/date stamped. And they should have been able to check their own system to see it as well.
