Hidden in a corner but caught it out of me peripheral. I arrived at opening and the place was empty but I was promptly greeted and seated. With menu in hand I was served a bowl of salsa and chips. The chips were okay, store bought. The salsa was fresh, tomatoee but had a nice kick to it. I set my heart on their menudo and also asked for 2 al pastor tacos. The server asked if I wanted cilantro and onions, to which I said YES. I killed the first serving of salsa, that was quickly replaced when my tacos came out. The Pastor tacos had an amazing flavor along with bits of pineapple (as it should) the tacos were in house made corn tortillas that made them even better! I devoured those bad boys and after a few minutes I was served my piping hot menudo. The menudo was CLEAN and very flavorful! I came out to me with all the fixings to include limes, cilantro, onions, jalapeños and my favorite dry Mexican oregano as that is how I grew up eating it in my home town of El Paso. I quickly tasted the juice to assess the flavor and it was perfect. The menudo was accompanied by home hot and hand made corn tortillas of which, I quickly sprinkled with some table salt and rolled it into a taquito and went to town on that delicious soup with beef tripe and hominy sprinkled with oregano and a couple of lime slice juice. I really enjoyed this place and would readily...
Read moreWe ate here for the first time! The salsa was so good spicy in just the right way! Plentiful crispy fresh chips! I don’t know why that guy posted it was out of a can but he must be used to eating salsa at a fast food place and must have a terrible palate! I had the big burrito which had chicken, beef and shrimp it had the best retried beans tomatoes ,onions bell peppers and sour cream the chicken was juicy and the flavorful! The shrimp was perfectly grilled the steak was so tender and delicious and it had a delicious cheese sauce only thing that would have made it better was if it was deep fried lightly . Darrell had cheese enchiladas with fajita beef in a delicious sauce! Darrell snd I both don’t care for red sauce but this was not what you normally find on enchiladas. It was very very good. We also had the sopapillas. Very very good. We met Alex I assume he was the owner he was so nice and he guaranteed we would not regret coming here and he was right! Our waitress was very attentive. I cannot wait to come back to this great restaurant! Darrell is bringing a coworker next week. Y’all have to try this place I sure hope they are around for a long long time! It is now one of our top two favorite...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem! It has authentic Mexican food for an extremely good price. A quesadilla plate is only around 10 dollars. 1 taco is 2.80 and a side is 75 cents!!
This place places minimal salt and preservatives in their food because it's meant to be authentic and freshly cooked, not commercial. Their salsa has an extremely interesting flavor; it has a fruity undertaste with a variety of vegetables as the main taste.
The food prep was only around 10 minutes and the waiters did not mess up our orders at all. The restaurant atmosphere was great and I almost felt like I was actually in a Mexican restaurant.
The restaurant cleanliness was great! None of the tables really had any crumbs and the floor didn't have any stains or messes. Women's restroom was also very clean, but some maintenance with the sink and ceiling would be good.
Overall, this place has good food for a good price. Its also clean and has a great...
