Ying Cafe — Restaurant in Watauga

This tucked away Watagua gem consistently serves very good Chinese-American cusine. It is family owned and run, and there are no airs being put on at this humble establishment. The soup is excellent, and I always have to bring some home with my order so as not to disappoint my friends and family waiting with anticipation for my arrival with the meal. You can really tell that the ingredients are fresh in all of their entrees. One peculiarity about this restaurant is that its won-ton soup and egg rolls are not east-coast style, but that's OK. Many, if not most, Chinese restaurants in the area are the same way, but both are delicious at Ying's. Do yourself a favor and visit Ying's. It's great either in-restaurant or take out. They also deliver, but I've never used that service, so I can't...

Waited over 1 hour for soggy inedible cold mush. We live less than 2 miles away. Maybe they were just busy I think as we patiently await our food. It finally arrived and was like warm at best. The fried dumplings were soggy. My wife's con fried rice we assumed would be safe. The chicken was mushy and soggy... The rice was hard and bland. My dish was doused in a neon orange sauce that was sickneningly sweet along with their classic mushy chicken. So soft and soggy you could squeeze it through your fork. Kinda like play dough.. the egg drop soup was just as cold and just as flavorless and disappointing. I reallllly like Chinese food... Heck I even can enjoy mediocre chinese food. But buyer beware... Anything you make at home is better...

best chinese around here so far that delivers order sesame chicken and shrimp fried rice ... I like my sesame chicken fresh meat was kinda tough on some areas but the shrimp fried it was kinda bland to me but my husband thought it was ok food was really hot when arrives so that's a plus . I'm giving a 4 star because I got a call about my order and I changed my order from the sweet and sour chef speciality 10.59 to sesame chicken 9.25 and he didn't change the total he said it was the same price and it wasn't if u look at the menu so I was disappointed that the total price wasn't adjusted . but will be a repeat customer...
