Long time customer since this Starbucks opened. The experience here has overall been lack luster since they opened years ago, Drive through takes an insane amount of time, inconsistent customer service, inconsistent drink quality. I've continued to come because Ridgeville doesn't have great coffee options and it's convenient on the way to work.
Alas, I'll no longer be a customer of this Starbucks after an incident today, it's just the straw that broke the camels back. Placed an online pickup order, as I do most days, that went through fine. When I showed up, the cafe was closed because they were short. The drive through line was insane. I motioned with my phone and one of the male workers came over and opened the door. I explained the situation. His response was for me to get in line and wait. I protested that the app accepted the order for this location. He said they did their job and I needed to call the app contact to cancel my order, which I found to be unacceptable, so I left.
Clearly they were in a tough spot this day and I do understand that. However one would think that someone at the store level is responsible for indicating with folks that control app that online orders cannot be accepted. In addition, the lack of service recovery exhibited by the barista I spoke is concerning.
What's very telling as well is my experience is not unique. Look at their overall google ratings and other reviews. I've never seen a stand alone Starbucks perform so poorly consistently. That's a clear indication that management is not doing their job.
I won't be back, you guys lost a long time customer, who stops here almost daily, due to inconsistent quality and service. Management needs to do better.
PS: maybe try calling the Starbucks manager by great northern. They actually know what they're doing there.
Edit: the owner commenting with a canned response (as they have also responded to other poor reviews) proves my point. This location is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered drinks through the app on the way to meeting a friend. When I pulled into the parking lot it was incredibly busy. I walked inside, waited in line. When the person in front of me was finished I told the cashier I wasnāt able to wait and my intention was to cancel my order. She went into, let me help you mode, and walked down to see if they were made at which point I followed her. She looked up my order and said we only received it 6 min ago and itās busy then turned to another woman, assuming a supervisor. Again, I just needed to cancel my order and go, I couldnāt wait 20 min. The supervisor asked if I wanted a refund, yes please, and she proceeded to the register. She then began taking other peoples orders. Waiting for the next order to be complete I kindly asked her if she was going to be the one to complete my refund. I was a little confused because the previous cashier walked away. No one was helping me. She then became extremely rude, accusing me of cutting in line and told me to wait. If you are going to work in a high paced environment that can get extremely busy you need to turn up the customer service, not be a jerk! I was appalled by the way I was treated...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been a loyal Starbucks customer for more than 10 years, visiting almost every day. For the past 5 years, Iāve been ordering the exact same drink ā an iced triple espresso with four pumps of white mocha and a splash of half-and-half ā so I know exactly how it should taste and look.
However, todayās experience was extremely disappointing. My drink was only filled halfway in a venti cup, and when I mentioned it, the barista just added more ice instead of properly fixing it. The result was a cup full of ice and barely any coffee or milk ā not what I paid for, and certainly not the Starbucks quality Iāve come to expect.
As someone whoās been consistently loyal to Starbucks for over a decade, this experience was frustrating and discouraging. I hope Starbucks will take this feedback seriously and ensure better quality control and staff training so loyal customers like me can continue to enjoy the drinks we love.
The picture of the drink look full because the barista already add more ices to it. Before it was only fill...
