I have come to this place twice. The first time, over a month ago, the service was okay but my wife loves their food so she asked me to go again. Today I went, and it was the last time. I walked in and the store seemed to be pretty busy. At no point were staff giving instructions for people to take a number. Everyone lined up and proceeded with their order once their turn came. I initially walked in with an order for myself and one for my wife. My wife texted me the order, and her instructions weren't very clear. The first person who took my order was great, she was patient with me while I tried to figure out my wife's order. I eventually decided to order my meal and call me wife for clarification. I placed my order and informed the cashier I was going to make a phone call and I'll step back in line. After completing my phone call, I stepped back in line and waited for my turn in line. More people were ordering but I had a place in line behind some other customers. A couple cut in front of me but the husband recognized their mistake and apologized. I appreciated the gesture, told him it was fine and waited for my turn. The couple stepped to the side after ordering and I stepped up to order. A new cashier walked out from the back to the counter directly in front of me. She did not look in my direction, she did not ask the other cashiers who was next in line. She immediately shouts a number and asks who has it. She immediately proceeds to help the person holding the number. At this point I was confused because no one at any point requested people to take a number. In addition, the cashier asked who had number 40. The number display clearly said number 15. If they were using the number system they would have A) instructed people to take a number and B) have the numbers match the next one. After taking the order for the lady with number 40, the new cashier immediately ask for the next number. Now, I'm becoming frustrated because again, I am standing in front of the counter and she completely ignores me. It's so obvious she's ignoring me the lady with number 41 says out loud, "I believe he was next." The cashier was then forced to acknowledge me and eventually the original cashier who took my first order was available and let her know I needed to be taken care of. Another cashier finally took my order. During this time the lady who had number 41 even told me, "It really seems like they were ignoring you when you were standing in line." I agreed with her and said as much to her out loud. The cashiers began giving me better service after hearing this statement. I was pretty upset at this point because if the lady behind me noticed how I was being treated and I was experiencing it I know for a fact it wasn't just me. What really bothered me the most was the fact that she (lady with number 41) had to speak up for me despite they fact I was standing at the counter. Never once was I asked. Full disclosure, I'm a black man, and I have been ignored many times at restaurants, I have been ignored before, I have been talked down to and many other situations related to my race. It has happened so much to me, I know the feeling and I know what it looks like. I was the only person of color in the store at this time. I clearly stuck out like a sore thumb, although my first interaction was fine, the second interaction out weighed it significantly. I asked to speak to the manager twice before they finally brought the manager out. I informed her what happened and how I was treated and what I felt it was. She assured me that wasn't the case and she knows her staff heart and that's not who they are. She did not apologize right away. She first defended them and then said she would look into it, usually people try to make it right or at least offer, she never did. I wouldn't have taken it but the offer would have meant she was serious. She only apologized after I said I'll take my business elsewhere if I'm not wanted here. So after that, I'm done. I'm sick of people treating me this way for no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCanāt believe how mistreated I felt here. Actually walked out and said cancel my order because of the poor customer service and rude remarks I was receiving from the staff. In there at lunch time to order myself and 2 daughters a few sandwiches. I donāt eat meat so I was building a veggie wrap and eliminating meat and cheese options but wanted my ābase ā to be avocado instead of getting meat or cheese since Iām VEGETARIAN/VEGAN. Most restaurants in 2023 are up on the times of offering high quality vegetarian and vegan menu options where you receive avocado, hummus, beans, plant based meats etc etc in place of regular meat and cheese. They were only allowing me to add a bunch of plain leafy green veggies and sauces to my wrap telling me avocado isnāt in the vegetarian and Iād have to pay extra- but I thought it could substitute the meat and cheese. Why should a VEGETARIAN/VEGAN have to pay an up charge (which is high!! $$$) for avocado if they arenāt eating the meat and cheese which costs $$$$$!?!?! The staff was so rude- turning around at me staring telling me no you canāt get it, itās more money. The vibe was so rude and terrible- couldnāt believe Iām about to spend $30+ dollars on a few sandwiches and Iām being looked at and treated this way. Anyways- canceled my order and walked out. Went to Potbelly and received the BEST service at POTBELLY- so sweet smiling and making eye contact and thru have 2 amazing Vegetarian/Vegan options- 1 sandwich w avocado as the meat substitute and 1 with hummus as the meat substitute- VEGAN AND VEGETARIANS - Forget Butterfingers and come...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCompletely Upset regarding Management at Butterfingers. I purchased a chicken salad sandwich at the Crown point location that was made at either the Highland or Munster location according to management in Crown point. According to management at Crown-point, she stated that they use chicken breast not skinless and unfortunately sometimes maybe a piece of the bone or Cartlidge may have been left by accident. Well, apparently thatās what happened with me. I ate a chicken salad sandwich from the Crown point location, that was all I ate that day. I unfortunately ended up with a foreign body lodged, possibly a bone in my esophagus, and when I contacted the manager at Crown point, she didnāt seem to be too concerned. I even stated that I may end up in surgery, I explained I didnāt want this to happen to somebody else and that they may wanna pull the rest of the sandwiches off the shelf, The only thing she stated was that she would contact the Highland and Munster store. I then asked her if she wanted my phone number to get a hold of me, she did not seem too concerned. I consistently buy cakes From the Highland location, this was the first time I was in the Crown point location. I purchased a Carrot cake for Easter and it was the first I ever purchased a chicken salad sandwich However Mistakes like that should not happen⦠What if this wouldāve reached the airway, I would Not be here to address this issue. This is...
