Imagine receiving a gift you didn't even know you wanted.

That is the Winey Beach Cafe !

While taking a stroll down 119th street I finally was able to enter this delightful boutique cafe with niche hours . Finally !🤗

Imagine my delight when I opened the door .I was immediately transported to what had the actual feels of a beachside cafe .

Yay for me , because anyone who knows me knows I don't care how 5 star or Vip a trip is it's not a vacation until I hit the beach ⛱️.

So in my beachy vibe of way way too happy to be inside 💠

I greeted the other patrons who were indeed getting their GRUB ON . They returned the greeting and returned to eating 😁.

I promise you they weren't even talking to each other . It was them 100 vs food 0 . The plating was clean and the portions were ample so Mother was not hating on them at all👍🏾 Get it y'all

I was greeting by a 100,017 💡 watt smile and seated. Juliana proceeded to tell me the specials. Feeling bougie,I threw caution to the wind and said bring me what you will of the specials from the meal to the drink . I'm in the keys y'all😂😂😂

Now I did check the vibe and said ok Key West theme . As long as it's not roast pork (🚫pork) coconut or pineapple I'm goodc. 🤔Buccaneers etc smoked meat blah blah and remember I had the other patrons who were all forks and elbows 😁 so no trust issues or Spidey senses activated

Then what I believe was manna from heaven was placed in front of me a flaky warm croissant textured bread literally dripping in honey butter. Folks if it wasn't from heaven then it must have been hell because it was sinfully delicious.

On cloud 9 and I haven't even gotten my entree yet!!!

TA DA! In front of me I have the freshest tastiest vegetarian black beans and rice seasoned with all the right herbs and spices with olives to round out the earthiness and ....risking no taste because they are not flavored with meat !

Honey hush your mouth and eat because there is more . Crab cake(s). Did you see the S? That two fist size cakes baby , fish sticks which are more like 1/3rd of a filet and very meaty , boneless grilled jerk chicken strips, Beach Cafe salad and beautifully steamed broccoli.

Then the topper was CHEF TERRY comes out to meet me !

We love this place so we’ll plan our meals when they open at 5:00. Everything is freshly cooked to order. Gotta try the garlic mashed potatoes 😋 and white fish made your way. We usually enjoy a glass of wine or beach cocktail and munch on the complimentary honey, butter croissant while we wait for the magic to happen. If you want a fabulous meal, prepared fresh, this is a place you should go. The atmosphere is fun yet cozy. The staff are pleasant and sincere. The chef cooks the food to please and really cares how you like it. When they serve broccoli, you get huge, deep color florets, not a mix of skinny stems and tiny flowers.
