The Standard Taproom — Restaurant in North Township

The place is so nice and they have lots of different places to sit. I went with some friends for the first time, it was not that busy and none of us had ever been there. The bartender wasn’t very friendly, he just looked at us and didn’t even say anything to us. We sat in front of him at the bar, sat for about 10 minutes and we had to ask him for menus. We told him it was our first time and we didn’t know what to order, he briefly told us about how the beer is on tap and they’re all from different places. Obvious answer. We finally ordered and had a few rounds. Towards the end of our visit, we saw people with the samplers. And I told him “hey I didn’t know that was on the menu! You should’ve told us, we would’ve gotten a few of those.” And he just shrugged like “oh well.” I was upset cause it felt like we were not welcomed there. The Standard Taproom is an absolute NECESSITY for craft beer lovers! The large rotating craft beer selection means there is something for everyone. The bartenders are all extremely knowledgeable and (in my experience) will make it a personal quest to find something even my Grandpa likes. Every experience I have had at the Standard Taproom has been stellar.

They don't have a kitchen but will gladly give you an excellent recommendation for a local spot that will deliver straight to your seat.

The décor makes you feel at home, and they have several board games. It's a great place to bring a first date or a group of old friends! And the bathrooms are honestly one of the nicest public restrooms I have ever seen.

Best taproom I've been to. The list alone is unlike any list I've seen. Beers that taste, look, and smell like deserts, fruit cocktails, rich syrupy coffee. They never have the same beer more than once, as soon as that keg kicks it's gone, so it keeps you coming back. But the selection is so choice. Ever beer I've tried so far has been spectacular.

This is a small local shop owned by a married couple who take turns working the bar. They are so friendly and just want to talk beer. Their knowledge is incredible. Their recommendations are perfect.
