Where do I start. My friends and I went to eat there for my buddy's birthday because he thought it seemed like a nice new addition to the Northampton food scene. He was very wrong. Long story short : we spent 2 hours waiting around, we got overcharged for our meal, our waiter basically stole from us and we all got sick from eating the food. We got there around 7 and had to wait for a good 45 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated, we ended up waiting for an hour for a waiter to get to our table and take our order, and and waiting another hour to receive our food (thank God for BYOB). The food was decent, but when the time came for us to pay our bill, we specifically told the waiter that some of us would be paying in cash and to split the difference between those of us paying with credit cards. Before the receipt came back it was already closing time and we had to start heading out and get our receipts at the front. After we got home and decided to check how much we spent, we realized that we had been overcharged, and that the waiter had pocketed all the cash. When we called them the next day to see if it was a mistake, they just told us they would reimburse us but still haven't even to this day. That same day, we also came down with some kind of stomach flu that lasted a couple of days where we would all immediately have to to the bathroom after eating anything and well... I'd rather not talk about what happens next... just save yourself the trouble and go to India house or India palace. You'll get better food for a better price, with better service, and no risk to...
Read moreOne of the worst restaurant experiences in my life. I called ahead because i had a large group after my graduation. When I called, the manager said that they do not take reservations so I informed him that we were going to be a group of 18 and that we would be coming in about 30 to 40 minutes, he said that all we had to do was come in and we would be accommodated for. When I arrived he asked me if everyone was there and I told him they were on their way. He said that two tables would open up momentarily for my family so I left my last name and my phone number so that he could call me once the tables opened up so that we could go inside and be seated right away because I do not want to fill up the lobby with our large group. He never called to let me know that the tables were available until i walked in to see another party sitting there. The manager constantly gave me attitude while on the phone and when I arrived at the establishment and when we arrived with our full party, the tables were taken by people he claimed had reservations and he was not willing to accommodate for us. i was HIGHLY disappointed in the way the manager spoke to me and handled the situation and he embarrassed me in front of everyone. The best thing about this evening is that i ended up at Pita Pocket a...
Read moreI recently dined at Bombay Royale, and it was an exceptional experience. The Indian food here is absolutely delectable. Each dish is a burst of authentic flavors that transport you straight to the heart of India.
The Butter Chicken was incredibly tender, with a rich and creamy tomato-based sauce that was perfectly spiced. The Naan bread was warm, fluffy, and a perfect accompaniment to soak up every last bit of the delicious curries. The vegetarian options, particularly the Tamarind Eggplant Stop, were equally impressive .
What stood out the most was the attention to detail and authenticity in every dish. The spices were balanced beautifully, providing a symphony of flavors that danced on the palate without being overwhelming.
The ambiance of Bombay Royale adds to the overall experience, with its vibrant decor and warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing our dining experience with their excellent service.
Overall, Bombay Royale is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return for another...
