Taipei tokyo — Restaurant in Northampton

Since Taipei & Tokyo moved it's location, the quality has gone WAY down. I went there yesterday for the scallion pancakes (which are still great). I made the mistake of getting a sashimi lunch. For the first time in my life I put a piece of sashimi in my mouth to find out IT WAS SPOILED! I was absolutely revolted. I leaned in to smell it.. It was very clear the fish should have been in the garbage and not on my plate. There is no way the person preparing the sashimi would not have realized it was spoiled.

I sat there and waited for a server to come out while the person I was with ate her bento box. She told me her broccoli tempura was way overcooked and mushy. About a half hour goes by. No one is to be seen. I start walking around literally yelling "hello?!!" No response. (We were the only people in the restaurant) I opened the front door and closed it. No response.

Finally a woman came out and gave us our bill. I told her the fish was not good, it wasn't fresh and it smelled and tasted bad. Strong language barrier. I told her to give the fish to the chef to smell and taste. I didn't want them serving that fish to anyone else. I don't think she understood. She didn't take anything off my bill. "Oh, fish isn't good? Sorry. Thank you."

I'd hate to say, that was the last time I will be visiting Taipei & Tokyo. They have great scallion pancakes but everything else is HORRIBLE. I'm sad I went there with Teapot and Osaka so close by. Don't waste your time with this place when there are much better...

Absolutely one of the most terrible sushi bars/Restaurants I've ever been to the meals I ordered were very unbalanced (dry,pickled gingers super dry)more cucumbers than crab meat (Sushi roll) visa versa and so fourth I was still charged half of the entire meal even though I told them I couldn't digest the food because it had an overwhelming amount of salt this was the second meal I ordered with my sushi (Scallop and broccoli with white rice) the scallops were flavorless the chef said he had 20yrs experience but I beg to differ he told me "Scallops don't have flavor" I stated that I've had many scallops before and they were quiet flavorful he then handed me my bill and a fortune cookie while the server had very minimal conversation with me the customer Basics:Hello,How's the meal?are you finding everything okay today? But my honest opinion if you want rude service and a bad chef experience then this is the place for you my recommendation is Zero(0) stars terrible your welcome ps. I grew up in Northampton, I’ve eaten Chinese and sushi everywhere in town, Everyone goes to Osaka but I hate it there every time I get food poisoning! Terrible sushi as well, Taipei and Tokyo’s sushi is to die for! When Jim Worked I liked it better but the manager makes Sushi now that Jim moved back home took him a little bit but he makes the best sushi now! Great prices especially for lunch specials. I love their beef lomein. Crab Rangoon Is out of this world!
