I recently visited The HideAway Coffeehouse and Wine Bar and had a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The place was spotless and sanitary, which is always a big plus in my book. I loved how organized the spacing was in this place! The coffee shop has plenty of room both in the front and back of the coffee shop. On both sides there's a small space to sit in the window area out looking the amazing smalltown buildings and admire it. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. And let's talk about the coffee, cookies, and the sandwiches they serve- they were delicious! The coffee tasted fresh and the cookies were abnormally big but oh so good. But in all honesty what really stood out to me was the sweet/friendly customer service that I was greeted with. It didn't seem fake. But truly genuine. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The prices were fair for the taste of the coffee and food I had received. Overall, I highly recommend The HideAway for a cozy and enjoyable...

Ordered three drinks. Iced cold brew nitro, my wife ordered a hit coffee, and we ordered a Carmel steamer for our toddler and a cookie. Cookie was good, my drink was poor quality. My wife thought her coffee had bo flavor.
The big issue at the end of this all was steamer they made for the toddler was heated to a normal temp for an adult. He took one sip and burned his tounge, spitting out coffee on his dress clothes, 20 minutes before we had to be at a family funeral down the street.
We grew up in the area and are in town for 2 days from Texas. W e stopped at hideaway for a coffee, because we liked coming here years ago. Things have changed I guess. ...
Read moreThis is easily my favorite local business in Northfield. The family that owns it is so friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they consider their fantastic employees part of their family as well. The décor is eclectic and cozy, but the café is plenty big and has lots of seating. The food is SO good- their paninis are excellent (the St. Olaf is my favorite), and their desserts are addicting (get a slice of the flourless chocolate cake!). They also have a variety of wines, bottled beers, and one beer on tap (I THINK always from local breweries, but don't quote me on that). They have plenty of great specials and events as well, such as half-priced bottle of wine night and free movie night (they show a family film and a more adult one in the back of the restaurant every Friday). The place perfectly exemplifies the unique, warm community feel...
