Excellent ice cream and unusual flavors. The owners (small, family-owned and -run business) make their own ice cream rather than buying from a supplier. I have seen pine nut and cheese ice cream, among other rare flavors. They change out their selection frequently. The mango is delicious, but be aware that the red swirls are salty chile sauce. The texture is crystalline and icy rather than creamy, which is my preference but may not be yours.

The cones are generously sized. The basic "single-scoop" cone runs about $3 as of this writing, but it's a full waffle cone, not a little sugar or cake cone, so it works out to 2 or 3 scoops by the time the cone is filled. They also offer proper banana splits for $10, but they come with 3 full scoops (any flavors you want) and all the trimmings, so not a bad bargain either.

The ambiance is pleasant but the tables are small, so groups larger than 3 should probably get their order to go.

This is my second time coming here and unfortunately it was not much better than my first. My mangonada was very watery, nothing like the pictures they have on display. It lacked flavor, it needed some sweetness and maybe less chamoy, I'm not sure if all the chamoy is what watered it down. This is normally my favorite thing to order at Mexican snack stores so I was disappointed. My husband liked his horchata, though. The first time we went, we had dorinachos which were ok.
