Update 10-17-23: We just ate here for breakfast for the first time. We both loved the food. My wife got the Volcano Bowl with "Jennifer's breakfast potatoes" and I got the Alambre Omlette with grits. I also got 1 chorizo breakfast taco to try. I really liked everything. My wife didn't like the heat on the Volcano Bowl, so I finished hers and she finished my omlette. I didn't eat the potatoes, but my wife said they were really good. The grits were a little bland. The breakfast taco was authentic and delicious. Overall, it was a great experience. We'll definitely be returning, for breakfast and dinner, in very short order.
The staff here is always very friendly. They interact with our children and they are always very helpful. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Great Christian based family. They play Christian music all the time and we love it. We eat here at least 2-3...
Read moreWe eat here for breakfast and lunch when we're not having any beer with our meals. We are always seated promptly, and the service is always with a smile. The owner routinely checks on the customers to see if the food was to their liking. Very few places around here do that. For breakfast, the breakfast tacos are great with the chorizo and salsa, and the coffee is smooth. This IS our favorite place for breakfast, period! For lunch, the pastors dip can't beat with the chips. This IS the best house made dip around. Order the steak torta fully loaded and add their house made green sauce that's creamy and has a good bite to it. The fish tacos are a favorite, too. They have a different sauce for this meal. The sauce has a taste that goes well with the fish, but a little goes a long way. It doesn't have a bite,it's a punch! Good food, good family atmosphere, and...
Read moreThis was the first place we went to when we were visiting my in-laws. this was a great spot. If I remember right the Mexican restaurant and a gift store next door are actually run to generate revenue for Missions in Africa Asia and India. One of the pictures is a little hard to read but it's the story of this pastor. He was from Mexico he lost his mom his dad he had nothing and he made it to the US. He was not a Christian at the time and at one point in Alabama and he was contemplating suicide. He had heard about God but never really thought he was real and he decided before he committed suicide why not give it a shot so he prayed to God and he heard an answer. Wow.
Anyway the food was good. It's authentic Mexican because it's made by someone who used to live in Mexico. I'd go back when we visit. And my wife wants to visit the gift shop again. But it's for a...
