My girlfriend and I went in for dinner and got a couple drinks an appetizer and some entrees. The appetizer came out fine and promptly however we spent about 25-30 minutes waiting for our entrees. Me and my girlfriend work in the service industry so we understand sometimes stuff happens that may delay your order from coming out on time. After finally receiving our entrees and no apology I realized I had made an error and ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich that was grilled and not fried. I took one bite out of it and put it down not to be finished or touched again. Our server noticed I didn’t like my meal and asked if the sandwich was ok and told me she would see what she can do since I didn’t eat my meal. They decided not to discount my meal but just my drink which was probably a 1/3 of the price of the item I actually didn’t consume. Our server checked on us only a few times but not often enough which resulted in me sitting there with the entree for about 15 minutes so it was too late to reorder. I have managed restaurants before and unless the food is getting sent back all the time there is no reason to not discount food someone did not eat. So after waiting 25-30 minutes for food I didn’t even like and admitting I made an error I barely got any sort of discount or compensation. I will come back but hopefully next time with better...
Read moreThis was my first time eating here. The Exchange has indoor, outside ground level patio, and rooftop dining. We chose rooftop, not realizing that would limit us with what we could order. I wanted a cup of coffee and when I asked for it, the waitress got “a look” on her face, paused for a moment, and then said that they didn’t serve it, “up here” because they can’t go back and forth for refills. I am sure that I had “a look” on my face as well, so she then offered to bring me a to go cup of it, but said that there wouldn’t be any refills. Turns out the beer selection is also limited for rooftop dining, but you can go downstairs to the bar and order your selection, and bring it up.As for the food, it was decent. I ordered a french dip sandwich with sweet potato fries. It wasn’t the best or worst I have ever had but the menu is mostly sandwiches, so if you want a traditional dinner, your choices will be pretty limited. I will give credit where it is due and say that the atmosphere is a 10 on the rooftop, but I just would have appreciated the hostess letting us know that there is a limited menu when you sit up there so we could have made the decision on where to sit with that knowledge, Also, the waitress could have handled our requests in a way that was more...
Read moreThis place was awful. Me and 2 others came here on Sunday evening. The place was somewhat busy, but was nearing towards slowing down. It took awhile for our waitress to come around, but understandable. We ordered lemonades, which was I'm almost certain powdered. But they certainly charged us $2.50 a piece. Then we ordered an order of mozzarella sticks. Those were okay. Nothing to rave about. Then each of us ordered our meals. One of us got a patty melt, one got a cheeseburger and one got fish and chips. It took over 35 minutes to get our food. Which again was understandable. HOWEVER. When we got our food my friends patty melt was served with BLOOD all over the bread. My sisters burger was rarer than the cow it came from. The fish was good though. We get our waitresses attention after losing our appetite and not a single apology came from her mouth. None of us wanted our food after the bloody mess on the plate. We asked if she could take the meals off so we could leave. I was most definitely willing to pay for the drinks and appetizer. We drank our drinks and ate the most sticks. The waitress was annoyed and brought the bill. Still charged for the fish and chips. Whatever. $24.00 later. This place is probably the worst place I think I've...
