Elvira's Pizza — Restaurant in Norwalk

The pizza here is amazing ! Why I rate them one star is due to their nasty customer service ! I called an ordered a pizza for my kids and elderly grandmother while I was at work . My grandma is old so I informed them you will have to knock hard on the door she cannot hear as good . Long story short my grandma never heard the door to get the pizza . I called on the next business day and they were very rude . I called just to let them know I’m sorry for what happen that I didn’t want bad blood with them because my kids actually love their food . The woman who answered the phone was very upset that she had to throw the pizza out and talked very nasty and told me I would get a refund and hung the phone up . I was intending on tipping the driver for the time he spent attempting to deliver and order another pizza as well . After her bad service I just hung up . Will not be ordering and anymore and will make sure I tell anyone who would listen to not go...

The owners daughter has an attitude. I called her on it one time because her attitude and mood just sucks. It's a fake nice, not genuine. She said it's because she's a single mom and tired. Welllllll hire staff who aren't family so they won't slack off and deliver exception service! Here is a tip.. u need more then good food to keep your business prosperous. I don't think order taking her thing she has NO People skills! You can feel people's energy and her energy is low, disconnected, not engaged, uninterested, it's like she's there but totally checked out. I hate going when I have to have her take my order! The mom, the older Greek lady gives the service that makes you want to come back EACH and every time! Her smile, her energy and vibe is all positively contagous! I’ve tried almost every pizza place in Norwalk and I strive to give a honest review and to appreciate the hard working chefs that cook our pizza. I have to be frank here, I was disappointed. I saw good reviews on this place but the pizza here is a worse version of East Ave Pizza. A general rule of thumb for any pizza is the crunch; if it has a good crunch is probably going to have good taste. This pizza had no crunch and was so fragile I could cut it with a plastic knife.
