Sono Sky Rooftop Bar — Restaurant in Norwalk

We had a terrible experience with our waitress a young, petite Latina who was rude from the jump. She seemed annoyed just by us asking to run a tab and barely checked on our table the entire night.

Later, when it came to the ID we left for the tab, which happened to be an old expired one (by mistake), she accused us of using a fake. We explained that everyone at the table was 29–30+ and that we actually had valid, up-to-date IDs but her delivery was aggressive and completely uncalled for.

We totally understand she was just doing her job, but she could’ve simply asked if we had another ID instead of going straight to accusations. After that, she demanded we close the tab and said we couldn’t order anything else even though the place was still open for 45 more minutes.

To top it off, she kept circling our table, clearly checking if we tipped, then came back and told us we had to …which is not true. Every interaction felt nasty and uncomfortable. Super unprofessional and definitely not a place...

I'm not one to leave bad reviews but I wouldn't want anyone else experiencing what I did. Not only do they not have many choices on the menu but they don't have a kitchen near the rooftop so your food will arrive cold and super late. I ordered a Caesar salad that took them about 30 minutes to make and on top of that there was a hair on my food. After asking for it to be exchanged I waited another 30-40 minutes. In the drinks side, their sodas were flat and their cocktails weren't good either. Unfortunately, we weren't the only ones having issues which I'm sure that's why it delayed everything. Aside from all this, the view is beautiful and the staff were courteous and patient and they tried their best to make up for the errors of the kitchen and bar which we appreciate! Hopefully the owners realize the work that needs to be done soon before...

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews.

A nice small area to visit on top of the Residence Inn, with a somewhat nice view. I only got the sliders; it came with Irish potato chips that weren’t that great. They tasted stale and old. The drinks are alright, but nothing to crave for. I had the summer Moscow mule. The service wasn’t that great here in my opinion. We asked for our check and had to wait for awhile, even though it wasn’t busy at all. The server passed by us around 5 times without stopping by until we said something. An old couple, who was behind us, overheard our complaint about the check taking too long and joined into our conversation. The wife said that she has been waiting for her check for 30mins. “They had us here waiting like dogs.” She said.

Overall, it’s a nice small place to see, but I wouldn’t rave too...
