Speedy Donuts — Restaurant in Norwalk

This is quite a hard review for me to write as I have been going to this place since I was a child and I have nothing but love for the place. I haven’t commented for the first few times, but now the lack of respect coming from one of the waitresses has been extended to both, my mom and dad, on separate occasions. She is rude right off the bat, very unprofessional, no manners or empathy, neither basic decency on how to treat customers. Again, we have been going for 20+ years. It is DRASTICALLY different from when Cruz was cooking and the family was taking care of the customers. This woman is beyond anything I’ve ever seen. She has yelled at people over the phone demanding that she cannot do anything for them. She practically screamed at my mom saying that she had no time for her or her order and that there was nothing she could do about it. On a separate occasion she was forcing my father to pay the bill whilst still eating. Once he wanted to pay, she said he had to do the line because she had no time for him anymore. When I went (again, a separate occasion as we are frequent customers) she blatantly disregards me and begins to bash customers speaking Spanish not knowing that I speak Spanish myself. She forgot my coffee, and was mad at me for that and basically shoved the coffee at me. I am so incredibly disappointed that I had to do this review to begin with as this is a place we hold very dear to us, but with a person like this we don’t feel comfortable anymore until this is...

Donuts are okay, but very inflexible with their policies. Boxes are only for a dozen donuts 🙄. I like chocolate frosted and powdered jelly so I didn’t want the frosting to smear all over a paper bag (which is exactly what happened), but they’re very strict on this rule. What was more annoying is that she took the donuts out of the box and put them in a paper bag when she realized I only wanted half a dozen — box was already dirty at that point! I didn’t want to make a scene and get the sever lady in trouble so I just paid and left. This is my second time here, the first time I ordered an egg sandwich to go, and they took a really long time to get to my order. While I waited, someone who was waiting to eat at the restaurant asked how much longer for his table’s food, lady said another 10 minutes, so he said to cancel his order and stormed out furious. Speedys has good food but their service has nothing to do with customer satisfaction. ive been there a handfull of times and its always disappointing. Todays example was watching people walk in and get their orders after a young Fedex worker, who precalled his order, was waiting behind fresh orders. I waited in line for ten minutes and when it came time for me to order, another lady helped AND CHECKED OUT the lady behind me first. i had a simple order that she could have checked me out for then i could recieve my order and leave, that didnt happen. when i asked “why would you check her before me?” they said i wasnt ready, which i was, to pay. That was followed with statements of how I must be in a bad mood because i couldnt see how that was fair and suggested they take care of priority when serving a line.
