Crazy Burrito — Restaurant in Norwich Township

Went for our first and final time today around 6 pm for an early Father's Day dinner. I liked the atmosphere and most of the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good. However, we will not be back....

My husband had a coupon for $7 off of a bill of $50 or more (excluding alcohol) which was a real incentive to try this place out. The only other restriction was "one coupon per customer." Not even a restriction as to the day of the week. However, when we went to pay, they would not accept our coupon because my husband ordered one of the specials (the ones listed on the chalk boards at the front when you come in). Hostess indicated they could not accept the coupon because we ordered one of the specials. My husband indicated that there was no such restriction stated on the coupon. She got her supervisor and he indicated the same and had no real answer to my husband indicating that such restriction was not indicated on the coupon or the page that the coupon came from (which we had with us and let him examine which he conveniently took along with the coupon despite not honoring the coupon). The supervisor even referenced that we should have mentioned the coupon when placing our orders (coupon did not reference that we needed to though I have seen coupons that indicate such for other businesses). Why a supervisor or manager would be firm with a customer about a policy that is not stated on the coupon or otherwise and risk a customer being unhappy or not coming back is beyond me. Of the negative situations I've run into at other restaurants (e.g., slow service, incorrect orders), I feel that the restaurants have always done their best to make it right and often without us...

After being seated with no waiting, ended up waiting over 20 minutes to be asked if we'd like beverages. After they arrived, we didn't get another visit untill one of us retrieved him from where staff were talking & joking. He gave us menues, never asking if we'd like more drinks. Since the waiter didn't return after 20 - 30 minutes I retrieved him to take our orders. The meal was served, however out of 4 plates, we had 3 that had several issues. Grandson's sea food plate the scallops were rubbery & he had requested nothing hot or spicy, the sauce covering the scallops was very spicy. One - tuff beef & no sauce or cheese and no flour tortilla. I had a combo with one each cheese enchilada which also no sauce & very little cheese, a pork tamale so dry & wrap encasing pork was hard on about 1/3 each end, Chile renlleno with cheese, again no sauce, beans were like thick soup not a bean shape anywhere! Grandson ordered fried ice cream - it was burnt! We will not be returning. Waste of time & money! They may have experienced bar tenders, as I've heard but they do not have anything close to a Centenral or Southern Mexican Chef !

After informing the restaurant well ahead of it being a special Birthday, which was not acknowledged at all & having orders returned no one even offered any type of compensation for their lacking service or less than expected meals paid for! Dottie Weirich ...

We arrived at Crazy Burrito in Hilliard for the very first time at 7:25pm Saturday night. First impressions were favorable for this cute, whimsically decorated Mexican Restaurant. We were greeted by our server and asked what we wanted to drink. We asked for a drink menu to decide. When she came back she wanted our food order as well. We hadn't looked at the dinner menu yet. After we decided on dinner we waited for her to return to take our order. Finally a gentleman came to take the order. We ordered the Crazy Burrito and the Carnitas Michoacan. The presentation of the Crazy Burrito and the Carnitas Michoacan was beautifully done. The Burrito was sizzling but the Carnitas was cold even though they said,"Careful, Hot Plate". The shrimp in the Burrito was overcooked but the rest of it was pretty tasty. The Carnitas were like pulled pork with honey barbecue sauce it wasn't bad. We hadn't been asked how everything was but we did get to-go boxes. We saw no staff after this for a while. We kept looking and I finally belted out, "We need to pay".
