Came in on May 31st 2019 at around 10:30. The woman working was on the phone so I stood at the counter without being greeted for a while. Then she finally said “be right with you”. After she got off the phone she said “what can I do for ya?”. And I asked for my sub very politely. Then a woman walked in behind me as I was ordering and the woman working stopped worrying about me to say “hey sweetheart, how are you doing today?” , “I’ll be with you soon okay.” And I was thinking okay, I wish she would have said hello to me or been nice in any way towards me..... then a guy walks out and asks what kind of sub I got and they both laugh after she says which one and say “2 for 2 so far”. Then the guy says incredibly confrontational “what do you want?” And told his eyes. Then I say I no longer want the sub and ask why the lady behind me got a greeting and treated politely while I was being treated incredibly poorly. The guy got EXTREMELY aggressive with me and threw his hands up then down and took his gloves off. They both were being super rude towards me instead of apologizing and just simply trying to treat me like a human being. I told them I cannot help the way I look, I was born like this. They guy said “do you want the sub or not?” . I ended up getting the sandwich and they ruined my morning. Thank you for treating me differently based on the way I look. Even though I am over the top polite to every employee you have. The woman towards the end seemed to at least make an effort to be polite and said “try and have a nice day”. But I couldn’t tell if she meant it and I felt uncomfortable. Reading the other reviews and the responses from the “owner” shows that they clearly have done stuff like this on a consistent basis and also have an attitude towards people based on what...
Read moreGreat food and pleasant employees at the possible cost of unreliable management? This is the second time visiting this location only to have the doors locked and the store still visibly closed during operating hours. Today's (Sunday) posted hours (online and storefront) are 10am - 7pm. I'm writing this review @ 10:56am with no sign of staff inside, phone call answered, or notice posted. While waiting, I met 6 potential customers who came and went as we waited for any sign of response. Eventually, Kate, a young lady employed at the location showed up to work for her shift at 11 to join me in my confusion as to why she couldn't enter the store to start her workday. She was kind, funny, and apologetic - which I wasn't overly worried about, it's just a sandwich after all - and she was thankfully able to contact some coworkers to have them arrive shortly after 11 to open the store (ownership - you better pay Kate for her full shift!). We shared a few laughs at the situation and I went on my way to find food elsewhere, as I know it can take hours to prepare a restaurant for proper business. Anyways, when it's actually open to get food, it's always a good experience. This unfortunately however brings my success rate to have the doors unlocked while "open", to around 60% from the handful of times I've come to this location. Perhaps better communication or training to post notice if possible would show a bit more concern with the customer if this happens as frequently as...
Read moreDisappointed. It has been at least 2 years since I've had a sub from JerseyMikes , and I have always argued that Mikes is the best of the sub shops. That may have changed . I ordered a Giant and a Large Italian sub, supposedly with 5 meats each. You would think it would be a sandwich with a thick lunch meat signature, but I watched her change the slicer setting so the slices were so slim they were nearly transparent. Shouldn't all of the meats be cut the same thickness no matter which sandwich is ordered? You pay for 5 meats, and that should be thicker than a sub with 3, since you pay more. Also, the bread is about 2 inches less wide than before. I was expecting to see a big sub with plenty of meat,( considering the subs cost $23 for both) but all I got was a sub that was indestinguishable from a Jimmy John's or Subway. I gave them 3 stars because the subs taste better than those other guys,( you can't beat the red wine vinegrette!) I guess if I want a big thick meaty sub with an inch and a half of meat, I will stick to a double meat Tommy's Italian sub ($9) which will...
