I eat at this restaurant pretty regularly. I used to love Noodles and Company. However, this location is consistently subpar.
Their pop machine is always on the fritz. Maybe it won’t have ice, or the taste will be off. Maybe they won’t have any (horrible paper) straws in the restaurant, even if you ask at the counter. Today, I got there to pick up my order and was told that the pop machine was broken and I could pick a beverage from the cooler. (Nothing I was interested in.)
Today, instead of a Rice Krispie treat, I was given three mini ones, which just taste like plastic.
The quality of the food has gone downhill too. I like the buttered noodles with Parmesan chicken. Today, my chicken was chewy, and didn’t have a crisp Parmesan exterior. Last time, they skimped on the Parmesan cheese, the seasoning, and the butter, so I was basically eating dry egg noodles. I just end up feeling disappointed every time I go there—and I keep giving them more chances.
When I’m in Novi, I will be giving other restaurants my business...
Read moreReally not good. Was disappointed seeing as it was my first time there, and likely won't go back. I wanted to like this place since their menu seemed really cool and every time I'd drive by I'd think "I should give that place a try". What I got was nearly $15.00 of what tasted like re-heated pasta that you'd get from the frozen aisle at Meijer. Wasn't even hot. I ordered 2 bowls, regular sized, and within one bite of noodles I could see the bottom of the bowl. I'm serious it wasn't even half full. Hardly anything in them. Cilantro wasn't even de-stemmed-just tossed a handful on top of the "Japanese" noodles. The servers were polite and everything and I think the store was clean... but the food just wasn't nearly good enough to feel full, let alone justify the price I paid. I liked the concept of the zucchini bowl, however. I was short on time so I couldn't go back in and ask the servers to correct it, but I really didn't want any more...
Read moreNot wearing face masks properly, and preparing food as well as taking money without wearing gloves or changing them as they multi-task in different roles. One employee had the nerves to wipe her nose with her finger while waiting to bag my order. Covid is real! Rather this pandemic was going on or not.....why would I want your germs and nose content on my food. I asked for a refund and stated very clearly why I was requesting one; and the employee who gave me the refund seem to take on the role of dictating to the other employees, so I am assuming she was a manager or a lead worker. However, she didn’t ask what happened, why did I want a refund......nothing!! Just simply provided the refund as if it was no big deal, and told me to have a nice day. So that was clear confirmation, that she is just as nasty, and untrained with food safety and prep procedures as her co-worker. Would give this place a...
