The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Novi

A few days before December 21, 2024 I went in and bought two gift cards and put $100 on each one. I told the young girl that was working there I’d be back on the weekend of December 21 to get a half of a boneless ham now These young people working they either have a bad memory or not trained right but instead of her telling me you have to get in your pre-order she did not so on December 21, 2024. I got up at 6 o’clock. Got to the Novi location, honeybaked ham store and that’s what I ran into. First of all, There was one customer in the store at that early morning hour I went in one door The worker told me instead of telling me to walk over on the other side of the building, She told me to go out the door and come in the other door…WHY??? there was one customer in there it led me to the same place. When it was my turn I did not get a ham and I told the woman what I just got through writing about the young girl should’ve told me which I would’ve done so. The worker told me she’s supposed to get another shipment. It’s not promised but to call back at 12 well when I got out of the store and even though I had to drive a little further, I went to the Livonia location I called first and the woman said no come on in. Will give you one and that’s exactly what I did. The people that are being trained the young people and the people that are training these young people the right hand don’t know what the left...

I went into the store so confused didn’t know and it would as busy but should of known due to the holiday approaching and I got to the counter my first time in store and a line long behind and I got a lot of information and not only got 1 one ham but some smoked turkey Breast and a signature sauce and the young lady at the courter as busy as they were never got short with the answer or with me at all she attended to me as if I was the only person in line I was pleased with her excellent knowledge and her professionalism due to the overwhelming amount of people in. The line she stayed smiling and got me and my family together and made sure I was pleased before I left her counter I told the guy manager to keep her and she needed a raise she smiled and thanked me as he was friendly and made sure the little young girl help was pleasing to me sure I spend a good amount of money but I was so pleased with the young lady customer service and how she presentation I didn’t mind one bit and me and my family loved every bite of it thanks staff from Novi store the guy manager and the young girl my family will be...

I wouldn't go back. Sun 12/23 left much to be desired. The girls were cordial but rushed. I passed the sample girl twice & she just looked at me but offered the customers before & after me to try them. My goal was to pick up sides & lunch, but they herded you through so quickly you could barely ask them questions. I had to go back to the prepared foods after getting my sides because I thought I could order at the counter like normal. My previous purchase was already in a Honeybaked bag (I'd checked out right next to her) and she still proceeded to ask me if I was going to "pay for those." Customer service was sorely lacking. I wasn't the only one. The guy in front of me was waiting on his wife at another register & his clerk kept repeating "You can go out that way." He said, "I know." It wasn't crowded.
