Nutley Bagel Boy — Restaurant in Nutley

I’m tired of giving this bagel shop my business. Every single time I come in, it’s a coin flip whether they’ll get my order right.

Today, I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich and asked if they had hash browns. When they said yes, I ordered some as a side. I did not ask for the hash browns to be put in my sandwich. But that’s what they did. Mistakes happen, and I would have been fine if they’d just fixed it.

Instead, when I pointed out the mistake, the young lady at the counter didn’t apologize or offer to remake it. Instead, she lectured me that I should have specified that I didn’t want the hash browns inside the sandwich if I ordered them as a side. That’s rude and terrible customer service.

I’m done coming here. Not only do they consistently mess up orders, but they also treat customers poorly and blame them for the mistake they made when both taking the order and preparing it.

This was on top of the other mistakes they've made with my orders, including not packaging items correctly, missing items,...

I will try it again assuming that this was a really off day, but I had ordered from here via Door Dash. Ordered at 5:35, driver pulls up to location at 6:02 to pick up my order (1-coffee, 1-omelette, and 1-SEC on an Egg Everything P/K/HS), order is prepared at 6:30, and delivery arrives at 6:42 (original ETA was around 6:10). If I didn't end up with the world most relaxed driver he would have cancelled my order. Sad part is that that the hash browns were completely uncooked, the toast was basically un-toasted (didn't even melt the butter) and there was something hard and crunchy (Guessing eggshell?) in the omelette. The breakfast sandwich and coffee were pretty good though. I will update on the next order, since everyone has terrible days at times and maybe I just hit the bad day jackpot lol.

All I want is a breakfast spot that I can get delivery from. It is a P.I.T.A. to get my work truck and trailer into any place to pick up and this place was so good over 12 years ago when...

The only reason why you don’t see pictures of my order is because it was too delicious to refrain from eating just to take a picture. We had an order for 4 people: an order of pancakes, an omelette with potatoes on the side, a cheeseburger, and a Panini. OMG. DELICIOUS. Real pieces of steak on the panini and my eggs and potatoes were not greasy or oily like from a typical diner or take our place. The burger was huge and 3 stack pancakes fluffy, buttery and delicious.

Being that we came on New Year’s Day for breakfast, the place was packed, but we definitely found a place to sit, and the customer service was nothing less than spectacular. They informed us there would be a longer wait than usual for the food so that we were not just sitting there waiting. I sincerely appreciate this attention to customer satisfaction. The prices are great for the amount of food and you won’t go broke on a simple breakfast. Definitely will become a regular at this place!! Thank you nutley...
