In short, food and price are good. Service is lacking on follow up.
Work on timing and presentation. I ordered a tonkotsu ramen and a 4-piece gyoza order. Why did it take 5 minutes after you already served my ramen to come out with the gyoza. On top of that, you lost all sense of presentation and just threw the gyoza on the plate any which way; it's not like there was anyone else in the restaurant when I arrived and many minutes after that....
Regarding service, be sure to follow up and ask me how I'm doing at least once.... I'm no fan of constant questions during service, either, but the way your waitress did it today was basically come in, order, get served, and pay the bill--no follow-up in between, even when people were just trickling in as I was about to leave!
And, don't be shiesty with your napkins or risk appearing like you're unnecessarily penny pinching. That's just gauche, anyway, especially for such tasty food.
Otherwise, I genrally agree with other reviewers: The food is good (though not that generous, IMO) but the price is reasonable compared to many other places on this island and state.
Keep on improving. ...
Read moreDaiichi Ramen was always one of my favorite places to eat... Tonight made a take out order that was missing the curry not a big deal called and was told to come back... Husband went back while the part we got is now soggy and cold they give the smallest amount of curry cause they said we already have the chicken katsu part... I was thinking a exchange for fresh food not crappy service and not worth driving the 15 mins back for nothing... NEVER GOING BACK... CUSTOMER SERVICE TONIGHT SUCKS...
Would have requested a refund and give all the other food back if I knew they'd do that... While most of my family ate one person waited a extra hour to get there cold food... And lady blamed my husband saying he forgot the curry when our food was in a box and taped down didn't know til...
Read moreDaiichi Ramen has some good Japanese style comfort food. They give quite large portions so you can be sure you will not leave hungry.
My go to dish is the Chicken Katsu Curry with a side of Gyoza. If you are not a big eater you can probably share this meal with someone. I actually ordered take out and they put the curry in a container on the side so that my Katsu would stay crispy by the time I actually eat it. Some places don't do that unless you ask.
If you're in the area I'd recommend you give this place a try. You...
