Jolene’s is a cute small restaurant, nicely decorated. Food is different, small menu. A few teas, slushes & can products. I got the garlic shrimp & fish plate. The fish looked as if they battered it several times to recook it. The shrimp (very small shrimp) didn’t taste like garlic at all. White rice was good and the small salad was very tasty. Girl at cash register was nice but talked so low we couldn’t hear her. When we said excuse me we didn’t hear you, she just stared at us. The girl wrapping the orders was not friendly or a happy camper. Service was very slow. We were the only ones in the restaurant and it took 45minutes or more. She also seemed offended we asked for a fork. She mumbled something but I couldn’t hear her & she just handed me a fork. We had walked there bc it’s in our daughters neighborhood. Our daughter called in her order and we waited another 45min-1 hour for it. I asked, to make sure they did call in the order and we weren’t waiting for nothing. She didn’t like that I asked, she said no, there isn’t any order in that name. So I texted out daughter who’s been there several times. Everyone’s ordered were packaged with a dark blue cute ribbon in a nice bag, like the picture I posted. Everyone walked in and out with the cute packaged food. When she handed me ours it was in a plastic bag and no place to hold it. I said oh, sorry but we’re walking can we have a bag. She said, no those are .50cents. I said, ok I’ll buy one. :/ She ignored the $1. My husband put on the counter for another 10minutes. Not a great place in my eyes. We...

I ordered online for pick-up and there was a slight wait past the projected pick-up time.
They serve lobster rolls with lettuce and tomato. That's weird and non-traditional. The portion size and quality of the lobster meat is fair for the price. The flavor wasn't anything special. Maybe it's the kind of mayo they used? The split top New England style hot dog bun they used was hard and probably on the verge of being past it's freshness date. It should be soft, squishy, and slightly sweet with butter, but all I could notice was it was hard. When you pay that price, you don't want to remember you had a hard lobster roll. The curly fries I ordered with it were soggy and nothing special flavor wise. Not worth the extra cost for sure.
The brisket melt looked unremarkable, but my dining party enjoyed it. The brisket melt previously gave my niece the scoots, but that could be her more so than the sandwich.
The highlight of my order was the birria wontons with consome. So good! Highly recommend! They saved this review from being a 2-star...
Read moreI've been here a handful of times so I figured I leave a review by now. Today I had the Spicy KNFC Sandwich (pretty good & not too spicy, just a bit messy though) Previously I've tried : Buttah Lobster 🦞 roll ($20) (average, nothing special) Louisiana Roll (by far my fave!) Prime Rib Melt Papa Smokes Burger ($16) (was cooked more medium rare, not sure if I'd get this again tbh) Cookie Butter Milk ($5.50) (I wish the base was made with nondairy like almond or soy instead of whole milk) Birria Melt with Consommé Dip (very good) Waffle Fries (meh idk I can tell these are frozen pre-brought fries that are warmed up bc they are hollow & more like potato chips than fries) Seasoned Curly Fries (they're alright but again these aren't hand cut fries) Birria Wontons (delicious! Especially when served hot!) I miss the Mui Hawaii snacks ☹︎ But they said they don't carry them anymore! Bummer! I've tried the bagged shrimp chips but they were kind of stale tbh but no biggie. Nice to have some new options in Ewa...
