MACS (Macaroni And Cheese Shop) Oak Creek — Restaurant in Oak Creek

On 12/3/24 around 12:45pm a buddy and I went in to Mac’s. My buddy has never been there before so we looked at the menus for a while before ordering. After we ordered my buddy went to use the bathroom and I went to fill up my drink. Behind me I hear the counter hostess yelling into the kitchen about how long we took to order our food and how annoying it was. She was scrolling on her phone as we were thinking of what to order. She said it never takes her that long to order her food and how she was able to watch 3 long YouTube shorts on her while we were thinking about what to order. And this was very loud I almost couldn’t believe that she did not think I could hear her. She must not have realized I was standing right there. Someone in the kitchen replied “some people just take a while to decide not a big deal” and the hostess yelled back “yeah but not that fricking long, that’s was ridiculous.” I’ve never had such a rude encounter with staff when going out to eat. I love Mac’s but I don’t think I will be going back to...

First time going here with my wife for lunch. Had a great experience. She ordered the original #1 and I had the Carnitas #14. Both were delicious. They have a nice selection of options for macs. It is true to its name and they deliver a good product.

All the staff was friendly, greeted as we entered, offered help with the menu being our first time, and even had someone come around to our table asking if everything was good.

The price is reasonable, a bit more than standard fast food but in the range of the types of places in the area, comparable to Chipoltle, Qdoba or Five Guys.

The place was very clean and taken care of with good music and a good atmosphere.

Only complaint I have is that the Carnitas said it has black beans in it but I only found 5 or 6 actual beans in it leaving me a bit unsatisfied at that flavor being in my choice of dish. Ultimately though, the food was delicious and takes mac and cheese up a level.

I placed an online order at 7am on 1/27 for pick up at 5:15pm. We were coming to a show from 45min away so our plan was to have the food ready, sit and enjoy a meal before heading to the show. We arrived at 5:20. They had a slip with our order but did not have our order ready. The lady behind the register said she had to re-ring it up (I had an email showing it was submitted and my credit card was charged at 7am). She refused to make our order a priority even when I let her know we had tickets to a show. She was not at all understanding about it We had to wait 10min for our food. And instead of having s as relaxing meal, had to eat fast. We were also late for our show
