Oak Creek Public Library — Attraction in Oak Creek

Library is great, I love the study rooms and how they have a limit of 4 hours. Always clean which is nice and lots of resources.

What I don’t understand is who thought it would be a good idea to place a library where people go for quiet time to focus on finishing work, right by the city square where there are concerts that you can hear from over a mile away. I mentioned this to the lady at the desk and she stated it’s because Drexel Town Square brings in “tourism” and said sorry for the inconvenience. I could care less about tourism when I am from this city and can’t even focus on my work in a place where it should be quiet. Terribly planned out.

During this years Flag Day there were gunshots that went off during my study session, I was startled and can’t imagine how those with PTSD felt. The Oak Creek branch is a beautiful, brand new facility, and the centerpiece of the new Drexel Town Square. They have an excellent selection of CDs and DVDs, but the book selection is a bit out of date at times, and they're not open on Sundays. Franklin, although a little bit further, seems to get the new books first, and is open on Sundays. Now, where the Oak Creek Library seems to excel is its programming for the community. There are quiet study rooms, activities for families with children, and for all of you supporting your aging parents as they learn new technology, they have days where any adult can bring in any device, and a librarian will help them learn...

The heavens have opened, and a lost soul, looking suspiciously like a drowned rat, wanders into town. "What now?" To the Oak Creek Library. It shares a building with the town hall, which is either a brilliant stroke of civic planning or a sitcom waiting to happen. Inside? It's like stepping into the future – if the future is incredibly well-lit, spotlessly clean, and has an ACRE of space. Love ❤️ this library!! One can even snag a study room online without brandishing a library card like a secret agent. It's the perfect rainy day...
