Thursday I ordered baskets for our local police departments. The baskets not being ready and the employee knowing nothing about it... that’s not even the beginning! I made a post on facebook to let the owner know what happened. I then got told I was lying. I’m just lying on a company that I have no history with. That doesn’t even make sense. He even told me if I post this on local sites, I would get ripped apart. So I am writing this review. The owner did not answer his phone from first employee. And then attacked me after I wrote the review. He stated he had cameras. I would love to see and hear those cameras and an apology. I’m kind of in shock that I got attacked, so I really do not know how else to address this. I’m not sure why any owner would attack the customer who was not getting nothing out of letting him know. But yet here I am. I got attacked for writing a review and telling the truth. I did not ask for a refund. I did not get a discount. I paid full price for my baskets. I was just trying to let an owner know what happened in his bakery today. He started his message to me saying, “i got my baskets when i needed them” this is not true. They were supposed to be ready at 10 and they would of never got made if I didn’t tell the girl about them myself and go back out of my way to pick them up. AND MIND YOU, read his first text messages: we had five baskets and had to carry them to car. That’s why door was held open. And blocking customers??? Was I not a customer? We stopped by Nancy Jo’s just on a whim after eating some Italian as we needed something a little sweet. We picked a dozen of the hand dipped candies, a few different cake slices and a loaf of bread. We thought we would do a little sampling as it was our first visit. All I can keep saying is that it’s like being a kid again at my annual family’s Christmas get together. The hand dipped treats take me back to all the goodies my aunts made. Eating these treats reminds me when things were pure and life was not so hectic. All the cake slices were great - like they came out of my own kitchen. The 12 layer cake is a must for a southern staple throwback. The icing on that 12 layer cake had the perfect taste and texture of the one my grandmother passed down in family recipes. The best cake I have ever had. I bought a cake for my wife’s birthday while we were on vacation and it was perfect. The ladies there were friendly and helpful and had it ready exactly when I needed it. My wife described the cake as the best cake she had ever had. She said it beat the cake from her local hometown bakery that had been her standard for birthday cakes since she was little and the cake I got her blew her old standard out of the water.
