I purchased a Hurley Inflatable Paddle Board from Matt at Never Ever Boards located in NC while I live in NY, and let me just say the experience was amazing from start to finish. To provide the proper review I need to provide the back story..I spent a lot of time researching this board before purchasing and I came across a comment on a reddit post regarding reviews on this board, the comment was from "nevereverboards" saying that they are a brick and mortar shop that sells these boards and would be glad to help with any information and answer any questions. Taking a shot in the dark, I googled the shop and called to do exactly that lol. Luckily I had the pleasure of Matt picking up the phone, funny enough he wrote the comment on the reddit post. Matt spent over 20min on the phone with me going into great detail on his and his customers opinions on the board. He was EXTREMELLY informative and knew so much about what he was talking about. It was a no brainer to make the decision to purchase from Matt. With me living in NY and the board needing to be shipped, he got the board shipped out surprisingly quickly and arrived safe. My experience with Matt and dealing with his business was amazing. He stayed in contact with me via instagram to confirm the package arrived safely and quickly. He even followed up to ask how much I was enjoying it.
If you stuck around this long, its easy to see that Matt, his staff, and his shop, are exactly what we need in this world when it comes to local/small businesses. If you live in NC or if you live thousands of miles away, I can not preach enough how great of a decision you would make to do business with him. Read moreBUYER BEWARE: Unfortunately I must leave a bad review. Bought a Onewheel from this shop because it seemed to be a fair price. He told me he is a “certified Onewheel dealer” so I trusted purchasing a used Onewheel from this shop over Facebook Marketplace place and other outlets. The board was sold with the description of “perfect working condition”. I tested the board and it seemed fine. Mind you, I have had a Onewheel for nearly 5 years and have 4000+ miles on some of my boards. A few hours after purchasing it, I took it for a spin and to my surprise, the battery was faulty and died prematurely. I notified the shop owner and he refused to offer me a refund and claimed that it worked “perfectly” while in their hands. He purchased this Onewheel from a prior seller and was selling it on consignment only trusting the prior seller’s description that it was “in perfect working condition”. When I told the shop owner it was not he stated that he tested it, but he could not give me a clear response in how he actually tested it other than visibly inspecting it and riding it for a few minutes. He stated when I tried it there were no issues either. Correct, but I trusted him as a certified dealer and didn’t see any reason to drain the battery’s capacity in the parking lot when it was supposedly “in perfect working condition”. Now I have a Onewheel that I spent nearly $1,300 on that can hardly go a mile before dying. Sound like perfect condition to you? I’m a reasonable person though and offered to prove to him I had not tampered or done anything to damage it, yet, he still denied that offer to take it back and give me a refund even with that in mind. Read moreDon't ever order something online from this shop. I ordered a inflatable paddle board on July 11, 2020 stating in stock on the website. My credit card was charged July 13,2020. After a week I reached out my email inquiring about my order. No answer. After another two emails I received an answer that my order is being sent to fulfillment and be shipped out soon. Still nothing. Then I called the shop with no answer. Called another time and store owner finally answered and said the boards are on backorder and will be shipped out August 15,2020. He offered to ship a different board instead which I declined. So I waited patiently. On August 14, I texted the store owner if the board is still on schedule. The reply was "yes will be shipped out on time August 15. Another 5 days go by. I inquired again by text. Now the boards supposedly are held up in customs. On August 23. I received an email stating that the order can not be fulfilled and I have options to choose from. To order a different board which would be shipped by the end of the year ( wait what???? Are you kidding me???) or store credit or refund. I obviously chose a refund. I have since gotten no more answers. No email no texts. I have been completely ignored. So I've filed a dispute with my credit...
