Dog and Pony has some incredible brews and is becoming such a great community space (see the recent Daddy/Daughter hair braiding event with a specialist put on for free). In addition to having destination-worthy brews while being just off of I-696, the people and the owners are very wholesome, wonderful people. I didn't know them going in, but have developed a friendly relationship with them through my occasional visits.
On one occasion, we had the unfortunate situation where someone next to us at the bar was charging his beers onto my tab. Kyle (one of the owners and front faces of the business) apologized profusely for the errors and since we didn't realize until after I had him run my card, he later compensated me very well - more than what he should have.
Overall, I'm grateful to have this space, these beers, and these people in this community. This place will definitely grow in the future, but I'm hopeful that when they do they stay to their roots of quality people...
Read moreBeer was good but not a great experience. Went there a few days ago with a bunch of friends and they had a barleywine at the top of the list. I ordered the bottle to split with my group of friends along with my beer. The server comes to the table with my beer and the bottle of barleywine and when I asked him for an opener and a few taster glasses and he said we can not open it here. I asked why and he just said it's too strong and since they only have it in bottles that it is to-go only. I told him we were splitting with like 6 people and he just said sorry and walked away.
Why would you have online ordering with that at the top of the list (with no mention of being to-go only) and not let us open it? Not accommodating and not a pleasant experience, the servers did not...
Read moreLove this place! The beer is top notch. My favorites are their stouts. They change things up every here and again, so there's always something new to try. I recommend getting their flights. They aren't on the menu, but it's a great way to test a few things out. There is always a fun vibe here. They seem to have a good crew who knows how to stir up a nice time, whether it be with fun theme nights or hilariously bad movies in the background. If you go on a live music night (usually Thursdays), it can get VERY loud, so if you're looking to chat more than soak up ambience, maybe check facebook to see what they have lined up. They have a great rotation of food trucks and board games for you to play, so if you don't have fun there, it's your own fault!...
