I don’t come to Oak Ridge often, but EVERY SINGLE TIME I do, I have to stop here to get a burger. There is no other place in or around Knoxville that has such perfect burgers. The seasoning is perfect, the meat is cooked perfectly, they add just enough toppings so your burger isn’t a big mess to eat. Oh & they have the crispiest crinkle fries too! It’s 1 of those lil “hole in the wall” kinda places that’s still small enough that they have the staff & the time to make your food perfect. Also, even tho I’ve only been in there 4-6 times over the last year,, the people who work there have been so nice & so helpful every single time. The last time I called my order in at around 4:45, I didn’t realize they closed at 5, but the lady who took my order was still so pleasant & when I picked my food up 10 mins later, the girl who cashed me out was just as nice. I’ve worked in restaurants before, so I’m usually way more cognizant of not ordering food 30 mins or less before close (in case you don’t know, they don’t like that. I didn’t like that.) in case they’ve already started shutting things down. So, I was really surprised (& also apologetic) when I was treated so kindly. Of course, that’s the way things “should” be, but I think we all know, that ain’t always the way it is. Anyway, if you’re in OR & looking for a really good burger & fries, you should def give this lil...
Read moreCome with an appetite leave satisfied. I ordered a cheeseburger and small fries for carry out. I knew better than to order the double and large fries like I did a couple nights ago! The place was packed as several came in behind me for dine in and some pick-up orders. It was long though, maybe 5-8 minutes and the crew in the kitchen had my sack ready to hand out and I was home in 20 minutes or less. The steak cut fries filled a plate and I snarfed them down with some Sweet Baby Ray’s from the fridge. I held off an hour before approaching the burger. A handmade patty. I’m guessing 1/2 pound. It was big as the full bun and thick. Even “cold” it went down juicy. I made those yum, yum sounds while chewing. Next time I may try out one of their sammiches. The meatball sounds about right. Oh, they have plenty of seating so go on in and take the family. It’s an excellent change from the corporate...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a family owned business, look no more. Mai, Renda and Eddie inherited this business from their parents. Momma still makes baklava, brownies, cookies and other goodies for the customers. THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST BURGERS IN TOWN. We’ve been going there for many years and usually stay with our regular order. We will call in our order and tell whoever answers the phone, our name and ETA. Our food is kept warm (again we usually order the same thing and our burgers are always made to our individual preference) in case we misjudged the time of arrival. This brother and sisters trio love to get to know their customers and we definitely call them our friends! Give them an opportunity to know you and your preferences for anything on their...
