Where do I even begin?
My wife and I ventured into Mr. & Mrs. Crab on Orange Blossom Trail on Sunday, March 2, eager for a seafood feast. We decided to share the S-5 Big Eats seafood boil, which, in hindsight, was the tastiest mistake of our lives. But I’ll come back to that.
Let’s start with the positives: our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. She helped us navigate the menu with a smile and checked in on us throughout our meal. Honestly, we were both feeling pretty good about the experience—until about 24 hours later.
That’s when regret set in.
What followed was nothing short of a nightmare. I experienced what can only be described as the worst case of food poisoning imaginable. For six hours, I was vomiting so violently that I genuinely felt like my soul left my body. And just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, my wife, only hours later, was hit with the same relentless symptoms.
In my attempts to reach out to the restaurant, I called and spoke with the manager. Unfortunately, their response didn’t help to ease our suffering. No apology—just a rather cold inquiry about whether I’d seen a doctor. Having a background in healthcare, I knew the only thing to do was ride it out, but her suggestion to “go see a doctor” and then claim we’d “take care of the bill” didn’t exactly feel like the customer service we expected after such an ordeal.
Needless to say, this was our first and last visit. If you’re considering a meal here, I hope your experience is better than ours—because, as for us, it was a one-and-done kind of...

Where do I even begin?
My husband and I decided to try Mr. & Mrs. Crab on Orange Blossom Trail on Sunday, March 2, excited for a seafood feast. We opted for the S-5 Big Eats seafood boil, a decision that, in hindsight, we would deeply regret.
Let’s start with the positives: our server was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and helpful in guiding us through the menu. She checked in on us regularly, and at the time, we felt good about the experience. That feeling wouldn’t last.
About 24 hours later, the nightmare began. My husband was the first to fall victim, suffering from what can only be described as a brutal case of food poisoning. He spent six miserable hours violently sick, to the point where he swore his soul had left his body. And just when I thought I had escaped the same fate, I was next. The relentless nausea, vomiting, and exhaustion were unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.
Hoping to bring this to the restaurant’s attention, my husband called and spoke with a manager. Their response? Completely indifferent. No apology, no concern—just a cold, dismissive suggestion that we "see a doctor" and that they would "take care of the bill" if we did. Having worked in healthcare, we knew the only thing to do was suffer through it, but their lack of empathy or accountability made the experience even worse.
Needless to say, we will never be back. If you're considering a meal here, I sincerely hope your experience is better than ours—because for us, this was a one-and-done kind of...
Read moreHorrible customer service from the management! I called in a to go order. When I arrived the server was very polite and my food was ready for pick up. Unfortunately, the card card machine was down. They ran my card three times before calling a manager. That’s when things turned bad. The manager didn’t acknowledge me nor did he apologize for the machine error. He proceeded to run my card several more times which didn’t work. Eventually, he called their credit card system carrier. After about 15 minutes, the server suggested that they give me my to go order for the inconvenience and wait, the manager said no! After a few more minutes, the manager asked if I could cash app him. I was SHOCKED! I’ve never experienced a manager using their personal cash app to have a customer pay for a to go order. I was uncomfortable with his request and I asked for my card. He then proceeds to run my credit card again. 🥴At this point, I firmly asked for my card and he finally returned it. He asked if I would like to pick up the order later today. I said I would not be returning. SN: my bill was only $45, the lack of customer service was unbelievable. I will NOT be returning to this location, not because of the machine error, but due to LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Update: After writing this review I checked my bank account, I have been charged SIX TIMES!!!!!!🤬 I called back to Mr & Mrs Crab and explained the charges, the “manager” said I would have to wait for the charges to fall off. I asked for the owners contact information, but he did NOT have...
