I would leave 0 stars if it were a rating. I was personally somewhat happy with my Wawa experience, but every time I would encounter Maribel I would notice a pattern of discrimination against me. I usually buy a black and mild plastic regular and a XL fountain soda. Same thing practically every time. Sometimes I would buy candy, snacks, milk, gas, ect. Everything is pretty much the same every time. I would ask for my tobacco product and some would ask for ID others wouldn't. Every single employee, except for Maribel asked for my ID just once. Heck she never even says anything, she always has an attitude and treats me like I wasn't good enough. Maribel would ask for my ID and to repeate myself every single time I would encounter her. I've been going every single day for a couple of months now and I've had enough.. When I would give it to her she would comment on my Puerto Rico ID and ask me where I was from. She did this every single time. More than 5 times, because I go there every day and whenever she was there she would do the same thing. Today Wednesday September 21, 2022 at 5:30pm I went to get my usual soda and black and mild and again she made me repeate myself on what I wanted and asked for my ID yet again. I'm tired of her repugnant attitude and her racial discrimination. She has got to go. I will be filing with Corp. a racial discrimination charge against her. The manager at shift I think it was Dale, Dave, or whatever his name was sided with her saying "she was just doing her job". I understand once, twice maybe 3 times, but come on. Every single time? I've worked at multiple gas stations and I've never asked for an ID on someone I can recognize and see on the daily after I've ID'd them once. Read moreStaff is great, manager John need people skills and training, i went in to order a mango smoothie for my wife and walk out with a peach flavor instead, i was heading home wich is around the corner to find out i had the wrong flavor. I then came back to wawa and explained to the guy making the smoothies that i have the wrong one so another employee was hearing my conversation and said just go to the screen and reorder the one i wanted. Then manager John came out and said that i have to order and pay for a new one. That's when it ticked me off that this came out of a manager's mouth, he didn't even said I'm sorry you ordered the wrong one, but our policy is that you have to repay again if you want the right smoothie. Please note that I ordered the wrong smoothie in the computer. So i went down the street to the other wawa and explained to staff what had happened, she said just send in a new one and I'll take care of it. Simple fix. Read moreProblems with criminal activities internally amongst some employees and then street crimes. Guard yourself carefully against food poisoning, robbery and assault. I spend over 100$ per week easily in that store but I'm through. Otherwise spend your honest hard earned money elsewhere, where good customers are treated with respect and dignity. There are a couple of good employees who are in their right minds but most of their employees are playing we hate the general public and we hate our jobs gotcha games. This was supposed to be a chicken tenders sub, not a jalapenos sub. And this is just one incident amongst several. Too bad they aren't all just like the couple of stellar employees with self respect and sensibilities who do their jobs right with positive customer service attitudes and who deserve promotions and a raise and bonuses and employee of the month wards.
