Let me start by saying i have been to this establishment numerous times and usually its ok(never great, but its oak ridge so there really isnt anywhere else to get a steak without going all the way to knoxville). So i thought i would try my luck again. This was a mistake. Let me say that the host was honestly the most pleasant part of our experience and the only reason im not leaving 1 star review. We start by sitting down in a booth by the bar. Its 3pm on a weekday afternoon so its literally only 2 tables with people eating(not busy at all). Our server(Sarah L) took our order in the most unfriendly way possible. We shrugged it off and ordered a bloomin' shrimp. We have ordered this numerous times before with it being pretty great so naturally we were excited to get them again. It comes out and theres no breading on the shrimp. We let our waitress know and she argued for a second about it not being made wrong. When i told her that i know how it is supposed to be made she sighed and decided to go remake it and when she brought it back it was made properly. She made a backhanded comment about "sorry it didnt look like the picture". All while being completely rude. Everything was fine now(so we thought...) so we ordered our steaks. 2 sirloins and a BONE IN ribye. We get 2 sirloins and a regular ribye. The bone missing was not the issue. We asked to see if we were charged for the bone in(its 5 dollars more expensive). When we asked we were told repeatedly that we were wrong. One look at the menu could prove we were right. Then we had another eavesdropping karen waitress come over and also tell us we were wrong(which we werent) before she went and got the manager and he finally agreed that we were right all along. Long story short watch out for SARAH L. Worst...
Read moreMy sister, my daughter, and I went to have lunch at the Outback in Oak Ridge, TN yesterday around noon and had such a great experience. All of our food was wonderful, hot, and fresh! We had the BEST waitress that I have ever had. I cannot remember what her name was but she did say she had been serving for about 25 years and she was absolutely amazing! My daughter is autistic, nonverbal, and also has sensory issues when it comes to food. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything she needed. I loved how she acknowledged and still spoke to my daughter even though she knew she wouldn’t talk back to her. Most people don’t even speak to her once they know she is nonverbal. It really made my day! I know that may sound silly to some people, but as her mom it makes me so happy when people make her feel included. The hostess working greeted us with a smile when arriving and made sure to tell us to have a great day when we left. It was overall just a great experience from beginning to end and that is hard to find nowadays. Thank you to our waitress and Outback for such a great lunch!
What we ordered: My sister had the sirloin, Mac and cheese, and French onion soup (All were wonderful and her steak was cooked perfectly. The soup was also so hot and fresh)
I had the bloomin chicken and it was amazing!! So so good! I also had a house salad and all the veggies were so fresh! Definitely try the bloomin chicken if you haven’t already! A little on the spicy side but that’s...
Read moreWent to outback and was very excited til everything happen. We got seated and look at the menu. We have enough time to look and see what we wanted. The waitress came by and took our order. I told her we already know what we wanted. It took an hour to get our food. I order the NY steak medium well with no season and when I cut it the outside was burnt but the inside was rare. I also order a hamburger for my son and it was burnt. The waitress called the manager over who name was Cody. He ask if they can replace it. I said that's fine. We'll 15 minute later I got the steak and it was covered in seasons. The waitress didn't even want to pay me out. I went to the hostess and ask if he can take the steak off. I gave him the steak with the sides. He came back with the manager. The manager was telling me he put the steak on the grill with no seasons and I should pay for it. I told him to look inside which he refuse. He said it might had a little bit from the grill and I told him it was covered with nothing but season and I would appreciate if he take that order off and keep the food because I would just throw it away. He was getting aggravated with me and was being rude. Heck I was being generous cause I was paying for a hamburger that wasn't eaten cause it was burnt. I don't think I will be returning back to this place in oak ridge. They need to get it together... Stop making excuses too. My end bill was 94.24 that's included the tip for...
