Boba Town — Restaurant in Oakbrook Terrace

My son and I are boba lovers. I had a black milk tea with tapioca boba and he had lychee jasmine tea with zero sugar crystal boba and boba. Both drinks were terrible. The boba was hard as a rock and one of the drinks they just put in a big ball of hard boba clumped together. The zero-sugar drink was waaaay too sweet, so I'm not sure what they did there, and the boba was also hard. I know this place is under new ownership. We had already left the store when we realized the drinks were terrible, so I called back to give them feedback since they are new owners. I asked for a credit on the drinks. The rude server that answered the phone said "yea, the boba must be hard from the morning shift because they make it in the morning. we are not the chefs." I said okay how does that help me? boba is the point of this drink and ours is not edible. She said "Well I am not giving you your money back". Someone should really tell them that the customer is always right. I had to charge it back to my credit card and will not be returning...

All we wanted was the 2 same drinks we’ve gotten for 2+ years: brown sugar roasted fresh milk tea and mango yogurt. So bad. They raised prices, don’t include boba in the price anymore, don’t have many of the old toppings, and don’t roast the cheese foam. Then when I got the drinks, the mango yogurt had no yogurt. They said it’s just mango with ice. …then don’t call it mango yogurt. Also don’t have a picture of products that don’t include the toppings in the price.

Bummer but we’ll probably never come back.

Boba Town is hands down the BEST place for drinks in town! Every time I go, I’m blown away by how fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced their boba creations are. The customer service is just as impressive. The staff is always welcoming, patient, and super friendly. They go out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you’re craving, and they do it with a smile.
